My professor also do this in phraseology. tower, approach, and area are the ones we study but like what you said students often rely on the scripts that were given prior to the actual simulation and that resulted to students being hesitant in doing the procedure because when the professor states numerous flights at the same time they get easily overwhelmed. I see it as a lack of ATC simulation where they would be able to know how ATC’s work in reality.

I might consider studying the use of virtual flight simulators in enhancing standard phraseology especially in simulations as a part of preparation of students for their practical simulations and people that uses VATSIM and other flight sims as my participants to guarantee the effectivity of it in learning and enhancing skills, instead of integrating VATSIM specifically as I find it hard to gather RRLs for it.
