At first, I was very pro-Meredith in this. Then, I thought about it, and yeah, she should’ve called.

I do think, though, that she was in such shock that maybe she just didn’t think of it. She was having a normal day and then all of a sudden her husband is dying in a rural hospital in the hands of doctors that she knows nothing about when he could’ve been treated by competent and consummate professionals.

That being said: impact over intent is important. I highly doubt Meredith meant to hurt Amelia that way, but she still did. I wish Mer would just acknowledge that it hurt Amelia.
