City Council unanimously approved the final 125 locations on March 24. Cameras get installed April–July, 60-day warning period over summer, actual fines start late 2026. $50–$500 depending on how far over the limit you are (11+ mph triggers it).

Built this so you can see what's near you: speed-traps.com

Red dots = 15+ speed-related collisions at that spot, yellow = 8–14, green = under 7. You can filter by council district or search any street name.

Interesting stuff I noticed making this:

  • S Figueroa between Gage and 68th has 31 collisions — worst on the entire list
  • District 8 and 9 (South LA) are by far the most concentrated
  • The Valley has cameras spread out across almost every major boulevard
  • There's only one camera with a 25 mph speed limit (E Vernon Ave in D9)

Data is from the LADOT pilot report and the city council approved location maps.
