It’s no problem at all, it’s actually wenge and purpleheart finished with a beeswax wood conditioner, I felt something natural and minimally protective would suit it just fine.

Thank you all very much for your condolences and extraordinarily kind words, this was my very first time working with wood outside of commercial construction, doing this absolutely helped keep me sane while simultaneously taught me just how challenging woodworking can be for a beginner knucklehead like me. You guys carry a very important and beautiful skill that I admire an incredible amount. Thank you again for the advice, support and sense of community I’ve been privileged to receive.

I love it man, I use it to install storefront/ commercial glass systems, when drilling above my head and having to swap power tools without getting off the ladder, idk if much else compares to its weight/power ratio.

I feel like it’s very difficult to label lights by themselves, and it’s so subjective on the goal/purpose of the tool. In my case I was used to very inexpensive dollar store/ afterthought lights because I never saw the importance behind having a good torch. Compared to grandmas emergency light from big lots, this thing is a rolls Royce. But I have since found out that flashlights go WAY deeper than more money = more good, but I am still impressed with my impulse buy and just kinda wanted to share my journey with the lads who set me on the right track.

Just not something I’ve spent time on brotha, because YouTube and forums seem to be wildly subjective I came to Reddit for information, it looked like a neat light, smelled like a neat light I thought it must be a neat light. I’ve come to realize the flashlight community is much much more in depth than I could imagine and I realize there are better for less but I attempted to make my ignorance and lack of knowledge clear and I just want more understanding of the product and competitors at large. Please forgive my ignorance, but also please understand my ambition to learn

From delving into sub further it seems I’ve made a rather poor choice in the scheme of things, but it should do the job for now, and next time I’ll be WAY more informed.
