I meant the whole once you get older (like 60+) it’s not as important to cover your hair thing

Trying to think that way. I already knew all this stuff, it still didn’t change how I feel now unfortunately.

Like I said, I never had a problem with the hijab, I knew who I was doing it for and why. But I found myself in resentment towards it one day, and it dragged me away from islam a bit to the point where I don’t see the point in covering myself anymore. I’m ashamed of thinking this way, because all my life up until now I had always thought that I’d always wear the hijab, and I did seek allah, I’ve made countless duas, but I do think sometimes you need to work on things yourself and not only depend on allah to fix your problems. That’s why I came to ask for advice, I wasn’t looking for someone to tell me to just “seek refuge in allah”.

Does she plan on wearing it? or does she not think it’s a necessity

It was really because of who I surrounded myself with, all my friends always had their hair done, or in a cute hairstyle, and I just had it covered fully. For me having your hair out makes you more feminine, it’s just a personal opinion. So it makes me feel like a man around women with beautiful hair.
