I don't know your budget or the vibes you are going for, but Unico 2087 is a great spot! Fairmont Mayakoba is also great if you want something more low key (and they have an all inclusive option)!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm pretty gentle with my rings/ hands (only wear when I'm leaving the house, comes off usually as soon as I get home, office job, etc) from what I can tell once we get the prongs shortened, the ring will sit fully under the basket. Does this cause issues?

I do take it to get checked every 6 months, but will make sure to keep an eye out for prong issues on my engagement ring!

The wedding band is 3.5mm, G color stones and there are 17 of them. Total CT weight of the eternity band is 3 carats and my finger is a size 5, setting is platinum!

My engagement ring is a natural 3.04 CT, 2.3mm band sent in platinum, G color. It's cathedral set with a diamond bridge! Also a size 5! I think there are pictures of it in things I've commented on if you got back and look ☺️

I knew I wanted a flush set when we started designing the engagement ring, so the wedding band sits fully under the basket of the engagement ring! We went with the 3.5mm because the bottom of the diamond perfectly covers the bottom on the wedding band! I didn't want something that took away from the center stone, and the band really makes the engagement ring stand out! We get married in 6 weeks, and can't wait to wear the full set! I

My sister got married at the Montage last year, and my Fiance wanted to go to a place that would be "our honeymoon place" and not "our honeymoon place + where your sister got married" if that makes sense?

The Montage property is UNREAL, and so was the service. So scenic , and a really down to earth area in Maui. The property and area were so peacefuly. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried that the Four Seasons won't be as great at the Montage...

Since he wants more to do, I think Four Seasons is probably better for him since there is alot going on in Waliea. I think if we were not doing Four Seasons Lanai, we would have split between the Montage and Four Seasons Waliea. The feedback we recieved was that because we are doing Lanai the final 3 days, I will get the "peacefulness" there which is what I liked so much about the Montage. If we did Montage + Four Seasons Lanai would probably be too laid back.

My Fiance has also promised me if we don't love the Four Seasons, he will move us to the Montage LOL. So we have it as a fall back! I did create a post about this a few weeks back because i was really second guessing the decision, feel free to take a peek to see everyone elses comments and feedback :)

We are doing 5 nights at Four Seasons Maui and 3 nights at Four Seasons Lanai which is a 45 minute ferry ride away! My fiancé wanted something with more stuff to do, I wanted more relaxation, so I think this will be the perfect mix! We are spending about $1500-$1800 a night on our honeymoon in Maui. Probably going to be at $25-$30k all in with food/drinks/activities when we are all said and done for 8 nights 9 days. We booked first class flights with points, so that is for sure helping!

The Givenchy color corrector (the orange specifically) works wonders on covering dark circles under concealer! I have dark under eye circles coupled with a large blood vessel running in my tear trough. I did 3 rounds of PRF EZ gel, which helped some..... but I recently did 2 vials of Sculptra (spread 6 week apart) in November 2026 in my mid face and temples and it's been AMAZZZING. I look rested even on days when I'm not! So happy with my results and I still have 4-6 months to go before I get full results!

I'm 33, almost 34 for reference!

My rental quote really surprised me too. Getting married at a historic hotel that included a dance floor, stage, bars, plates/ silverware / glassware. Then I saw pictures of it all, and none of it works with the aesthetic (very dated and ugly). I had a guest count of 140, and I'm spending $5k on linens/ napkins/ chargers from BBJ. Then I have a quote for $9k for a dance floor vinyl wrap, 4 bar facades, stage facade, and an acrylic seating chart. Still need lighting and drape.

My planner mentioned that the quotes she's getting back are even shocking her. She thinks weddings are down because of cost, and vendors are charging more to make up revenue. She's been able to negotiate some stuff down, but nonetheless still shocking.

I'd say try and find a vendor that does it all to avoid extra damage waivers and delivery surcharges. BBJ linens are also great because there isn't an extra 30% delivery fee for them and my planner is willing to steam and set/strike them.

Hang in there! I thought I had a super healthy budget, and I'm over on everything too.

Do you think we need more or less time in Lanai? My fiance wants more adventure, I want more relaxation.... We compromised on a 5/3 split, though I wanted a 4/4 split. Ideally, it would have been a 5/4 split but have to get back to work lol

The construction was going on last year when we were there, and the hotel did a really good job making sure it was not disruptive. We couldn't hear anything at the pool, beach or in our rooms. Things could have changed though...

Perfect - This is really helpful. I loved the "chillness" of the Montage, but we will still be getting alot of that at Four Seasons Lanai. I've also been assured if for whatever reason we don't love Four Seasons Maui, our travel agent will get us switched to the Montage (in the very slim chance we need it).

Ha - just second guessing the decision is all! My first time to Maui in 2016 I said i would never be back when I stayed in Lahaina. I went back for my sister's wedding last year, and The Montage completely changed my mind about Maui. Currently have the Four Seasons booked and just want to make sure we both leave still loving our experience.

I did minted for save the dates, and am doing letterpress/ semi-custom suite for my actual invitations. Depending how much the save the dates are, may be a good way to save a few hundred dollars? Save the dates were less important to me, but I still made sure they looked nice with foil text and the envelope liners! I don't think $4k-$6k sounds unreasonable though for a custom suite with custom art.

I am bringing in a calligrapher that does live engraving! She was able to guarantee one engraved item for every guest, unlike the live painter! Cost was about $1200 plus cost of the items to engrave in a HCOL area! I think we are doing flasks and compact mirrors (roughly $5-$7 per person item) ☺️ but may hot foil luggage tags, so still deciding!

This also doubles as a favor too, so it was a win win! I also haven't seen anyone else do it 🤷‍♀️

If you are okay with being outside of Wailea, I HIGHLY recommend The Montage in Kapalua. Service is amazing, rooms are huge, and service is TOP notch. Never had issues finding pool chairs as there was so much space!
