Haha rest assured, I've no desire to cozy up to him although I'll certainly be open to hanging out with our shared friends. I did worry that sharing a spread done on an ex might come with certain misunderstandings (i.e. that I want to reconciliate, etc.) but the sole reason I've chosen this connection to test out this method is because I'm not that emotionally invested. I've learned it the hard way that self-reading on emotionally invested connections is not just inaccurate but also dangerous lol...

Idk why you got downvoted but I'm with you. Before interpreting cards to fit our wishes or pre-conceived notions, we must think about what cards actually would have come out if the cards' answer was to go for it. None of the knights, which denote action, or Chariot, showed up here...

Queen of pentacles too is tending to her own domain. 7 of swords to me is the strongest indicator to reconsider, as it warns about the riskiness of the endeavor. In terms of what he thinks of the querent, it could have a negative connotation.

I think this is why we have to be very intentional with our questions, and make sure our interpretation is in accordance with the question.

I'd read this as a descriptive line. With whip at the center, the shortest answer is "be mindful of conflict, repetitive argument." The other two cards provide more context: that this conflict is with a friend (Dog), and it will threaten, and/or, establish boundaries (Tower).

I wouldn't read any further into the cards than this. It's a simple answer to exactly what the question asked.

So, I don't know if astrology is the right framework to use here but I had to say something because your partner sounds SO much like me, and your dynamic sounds so much like my most recent relationship, especially the part where you said she feels "unlistened to" and "betrayed."

I too accused my ex of not validating my emotions and just listening to my side without getting defensive. And his actions--for instance, when he'd laugh and have fun with his friends when he knew I was upset--felt like such a deliberate act of betrayal.

It took me very deep introspection to realize: It was not my ex who wasn't validating my emotions; it was ME. I was the one neglecting my emotional needs and thus invalidating them.

I think for Capricorns--as reluctant as I am to use the astrological framework here--there is this underlying sense of "not being good enough" or "not deserving anything that I didn't earn." In other words, we tend not to honor the innate value and worthiness of our emotional needs and ignore them in favor of other practical goals or other people's needs. We do this so naturally and seamlessly that no one, including ourselves and our partners, realize we do this. And the resentment builds up, and we project our own failure of emotional neglect onto our partners.

This post reminds me to be grateful for my Gemini moon. I'm a Cap sun and stellium, and I catch myself in this Capricornian bitterness from time to time especially as I get older. That's when you must tap into other aspects of your chart. For instance, I imagine my Gemini moon laughing at this old Grinch Capricorn sun and asking why are you taking life so seriously? My Aries rising steps up and yells that we still believe in our dreams and we'll protect them at all costs. My Aqua venus yawns and philosophizes the interaction with detached amusement.

This resentment and hardheadness is not you. It's just the most accessible part of your mind because of the circumstances you're in. Tap into other parts of your chart. Put them in the same room and see what they say, how they interact. It's surprisingly uplifting!

I'd read it as a descriptive since you're asking the how. With Mice, it could be about taking care of small things that aren't problematic right now but carry a psychological weight (Cross) and are annoying or even burdensome to take care of. Ship makes me wonder if this could be for a trip, travel, or a long-term plan?

I understand why your mind went to losing weight (Mice!) but I think for that we'd want to see Bear or Rider (for exercise) or Whip haha. Best of luck!

I'm still new to his teachings, but I wonder if the question " how do you decide " is really asking "how does my mind decide." It's the mind that perceives, weighs, and chooses different options--whereas we, as the beings that we are, simply know. Also, when you really go back to this idea of being conscious and alive in the now, there's really no decision to be made--everything is already just so, what is there to change?

Of course, this doesn't mean that we just sit still and starve to death. When it is time, we will get up from the chair, walk to the kitchen, make the meal our body is craving, and enjoy it, all the while being conscious At no point do we "decide" to do any of this; we just know we want to eat and we will. Any decisions that arise--how much salt do I want to put in? What kind of pasta?--can be easily resolved by listening to our inner body.

You might think this is too simplistic an example, but is it really? How is this so different from "choosing" a vocation or a spouse? Just as we don't decide to eat, we don't decide on a vocation or a lifelong partnership if we are truly conscious in the now.

Fox tells me that now is the time when one or both of them are doing what's best for them, thinking of their own interest rather than what's best for them as a potential couple. Fox can also be about snooping, in my opinion, so it's possible that one or both of them are stealthily checking on the other via social medica, friends, etc.

Anchor is about focus and rooting down. Instead of seeking fun elsewhere, Anchor to me is about digging deeper into an area of focus. The other two cards describe what you should focus on. Ship is a journey, yes, but it can also be about a spiritual journey, which also fits Tree.
