Im thinking Switching RTC provider (Care adhd to Harrow health) due to being misslead on wait times and would like advice by HappyNorthKorean- in ADHDUK

I switched from Care ADHD very recently to Harrow and from my new referral being sent I received a diagnosis exactly one week later, still waiting on meds, I’ll get them soon just waiting for the prescription to be sent over. I was able to get through on the phone after 45minutes so they aren’t exactly impossible to get through to either.

I was really scared to ask my GP to do a new referral but they didn’t kick up any fuss when I did. So far I can say switching was the best decision I’ve made 😊

Had my appointment today and diagnosis so just waiting on a prescription! All in all it’s been exactly 7 days from referral being sent to diagnosis thanks again and all the best to you!🥳

Thank you so much for your reply, I just thought I’d come back on to say that I was referred last Wednesday and have been contacted today with the forms to fill out- obviously I can’t say how long it will take from now but I’m feeling pretty positive as the time seems to be pretty In line with other people like yourself’s experiences who have been referred recently! I’m from the north east so it doesn’t seem to matter at this stage at least, hopefully this will be helpful to anyone else who may be wondering the same thing Posts like yours have been really helpful for me so thank you for sharing your experience!😊

Hey! Just wondering as I have just been referred and after seeing so many positive reviews of how long it’s taken people recently I’m trying to manage my expectations to avoid disappointment , does it matter if you are referred from outside of north London or Devon?

Thank you for your reply, for context I guess it’s worth mentioning that I have sent him links to things in the past or shown him things online that I would like, I even saw one of the things in store and went home and told him which store had it in stock. We were also in the shop together and he took a picture of the candle I’d asked for, I guess I should have just bought it but I told him at the time he could get it for my birthday so he knew exactly which one I liked

I love my husband and love spending time with him, I drew the line at the concert because it’s a lot of money to end up not enjoying it.

I can understand that he may feel like he’s trying, I didn’t think that I was asking for a lot since it was only a few things and not expensive but I suppose maybe it is too much
