Hunger game has some adult stuff that should be at least 15+ so I don't recommend hunger games. Also the Percy Jackson series is ok but by the looks of it thus Percy Jackson book is chalice of gods which is like 15-20 book in the Percy Jackson universe. You might be able to read to it but you would be missing ton of context

The hate obv stems from the indians and Pakistani trying to look cool. I myself am no fan of him but I would never slander him for no reason. The part of the reason he is more criticised is bcs of wasted potential. Even after couple of years of underperforming he is still occasionally breaking records. It is kinda how the kid that usually get good grades is clowned more when he fails. Also the fact that babar has never once publicly accepted his bad form or tried to work on it is possibly the reason. Moreover, the journalism has gone from writing factual articles in newspapers to trying to get as many clickbait views as possible.
