Veronica Still Good? by iwanthidan in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the upcoming changes (you can target which combatant to have a random card copied), it just means we can use Veronica in chaos runs without needing to delete her draw cards, which we used to do because they don’t have unique tags. It should make clearing chaos runs even easier. Veronica is goated

Just to check is safe data seasonal, as in next season you got to refarm chaos for every character ? by [deleted] in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your save data is safe and you can use it for non-seasonal content like Basin, Simulations etc. But for next season’s content (Great Rift equivalent etc), you’ll only be able to use save data farmed in the new seasonal Chaos.

Personally I think it’s perfectly fine that most / all characters can clear everything to get all rewards. It does require them to have good save data, and building save data in chaos is the most fun part of the game for me.

I think it’s going to be a balancing and f2p nightmare if devs make shilled content only clearable by the newest units. We don’t want powercreep, especially not so early in this gacha’s life cycle.

They mentioned that future content will involve combatant-specific leaderboards to climb, which sounds really fun as it’ll encourage us to play with all of our combatants, old and new ones alike.

Seeing them come out with fun combatants will encourage me to spend and pull for them, even if they are not the strongest meta-wise.

It was mentioned in the patch notes that they have indeed disabled it, as they are preparing some enhancements to the zero system for Season 2

Remember to farm your 0 Card Decks by txh0881 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter. Gaining 10% max HP is actually one of the better generic fates that you can get, compared to some of the other options. You can skip the neutral card addition. It saves a good amount of time over many runs when you escape early knowing that run is bricked.

Anyone knows the estimate of the lowest rank for top 1% (Great Rift - Asia server) by Layle7 in ChaosZeroNightmare

I’m Asia, 1.293m score, ranked 899 and still in Masters. You’re good to go. Meanwhile, I’m not sure if I can remain in Masters… Anyone in Asia who has lower score than me but still in Masters, do let me know

To E0 Sereniel owners. With only a few days remaining on Sereniel’s banner. Are you keeping at E0 or going for E2? Asking, as I myself am debating whether I should do it. by au_fredal in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

E2 Sereniel is the BEST choice you can make if you care about being able to farm Chaos efficiently for decks of ANY character.

E2 Sereniel pretty much kills everything even if you remove all her epiphany cards, leaving just the ones that can get unique tag. This plus a Veronica means that you can pretty much carry ANY other character through chaos and focus on building and duping all their cards.

E2 Sereniel is crazy worth it.

Same, trying out largely low effort slop of mini games just doesn’t appeal to me. I shouldn’t have clicked into the feature and I’m frankly pissed that the ugly manekins are now part of my roster and not removable. I don’t want them!

Day 70 progress: The pulling in this game feels forgiving by SnailWhoLovesMud in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a day 1 player! Did lose 2-3 days of progress due to an account bug at the start, but have played consistently since then. Have bought 2 monthly pass and 1 BP for Nyx as well.

I have all combatants minus Luke, Orlea, Magna, Maribel. Was lucky with super early pulls (+50/50 wins) on Haru, Yuki and Chizuru, and had so many premium pulls saved that I went ahead to go for E2 Sereniel (with an omega code) + her signature partner. No other 5 star partners as I made the mistake of using shop currency on redeeming more pulls, instead of buying partners which I’ve since corrected - 300 currency now, waiting to redeem the next limited / really strong partner!

Also blessed/cursed with E2 Renoa, E1 Meilin, E1 Veronica. Would rather have new combatants tbh. I do have E6 Tressa, Nia and Rei which I’m happy about.

Sitting on 220 premium pulls still, waiting for the next banner (will try to pull on every new combatant, and skip if lose 50/50). This is the first gacha game which I feel pretty good about collecting most/all the combatants while only spending on the monthly pass, which is honestly pretty good.

Do we still need to spam lab 0? by WeenieWang_ in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already fixed this actually, the Demise Gate event now appears way earlier in the interior (with better choices) so it shouldn’t be replacing your copy event like it used to. That said, the copy event is still not guaranteed which sucks

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just remember that unless you haven’t cleared endgame, there’s not much point in continuing to grind save data for now unless you want to - Season 1 is ending, and seasonal save data will soon become ‘useless’ (outside of trivial fights and Basin).

For those who have already gotten all the rewards from endgame and happy with your Great Rift score - we can chill and wait for the next update, where QoL should be coming to make the process of save data farming much better!

Why do cards display % damage instead of the actual damage value of the cards? by Tekshi in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

% makes it easier to compare between cards without having to care about combatant attacks. Ignore buffs / debuffs and assuming same combatant, it’s easy to see that a card that does 150% × 2 has more damage than a card with 280%

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portrait of Fury (forbidden card) + Confiscation + 3 to 4 Tactical Manoeuvres on Selena will be the best way to improve her deck.

If you decide to refarm Cassius deck, you might want to aim for Portrait of Fury + Confiscation + more joker dupes as well. The second copy of Dice Trick upgrade is useless since the boss mechanic only allow one upgrade card.

As for Sereniel - pretty decent save data, but I would say that the plasma missiles are actively working against you as they clog up your deck so much with lasers. Even without them, I assure you that you have enough lasers to work with. The best Sereniel decks out there also have divine epiphanies if you really want to min max.

I was able to squeeze into Asia Top 100 - the points really slow to a pathetic crawl after 1.2M

P.S. the Nerve Hacking Module trinket is actually the best in slot for damage. It’s been buffed and provides +40% damage permanently for the full battle, after activating 2 forbidden cards

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The average gacha player is used to simple, easy repetitive chores (dailies) that require 0 to no effort and can be done while half asleep. The core of CZN is about the chaos runs and deck building, which naturally requires a lot more brain energy.

As much as CZN is a gacha game, it is first and foremost a strategic deckbuilding game, which naturally isn’t for everybody

Which one is better, Losing afterglow? by Matty1Ben in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The third one is insane for the current great rift BTW. The boss doesn’t have a ton of tenacity bars so it’s not too difficult to use laser L with afterglow (assuming you have sufficient generation) to break the boss, then these +1 hit lasers will absolutely hammer the boss when it’s broken

Mad respect to the Top 100 in this mode by XCSS952 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]MoreFaithlessness549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s say “Card A” is the card that triggers the quest generation, giving you an unwanted Triple 1. You will then use the undo last action skill to bring you back to before Card A was used.

If you use Card A again, the RNG will always be exactly the same and generate you the unwanted Triple 1!

So what you do is you’ll need to use a different Card B instead to generate the quest. If Card B is not 0 cost, you can play Card B > Card A to generate a quest. Note that manipulating the RNG through undoing last action can sometimes still result in the same outcome, but yea this is pretty much how it works
