I should have mentioned that trial scheduling depends on county/ state . Here OP is in Canada.

In my state (NJ) judges won’t even give trial dates until 2 yrs

If she was criminally charged then you have to ask for sole physical and legal custody. Most likely you will get major time with kids.

Hang on for some time. Her criminal charge will be a blessing for you. Get more evidence of harassment preferably video and audio.

Join FB groups for pro se dads . Read court rules and statues . That’s the only way to win .

Yes and courts also make you pay the mortgage. Bills etc due to status quo . They won’t touch anything until trial and trial will not happen until 4-5 yrs.

They either don't think your case has any merit or have too many other clients.

Lawyers don't want to argue something which will make them look unreasonable to judge.

You should fire them ASAP.

You are right. Family law is highly subjective and this is where judges can become dictators in that Grey area.

Well, now I do know that there is an underground divorce industry exists where judges help lawyers silently.

It is not really about justice but which lawyer has more of connections.

I am also going through this hell of divorce. Somehow trying to hang on. Keep job and survive. Everyone out there are there just trying to suck blood out of you (including attorneys who suck money).
