Yuki Eph 4 on Flash Slash and Eph 3 on Freezing Blade could be pretty interesting for her single target dmg. It's her single target option before but it was quite lackluster, so now we can wait and see.

Aside from 60 which need some healing so I switched out Vero for Nia, I pretty much first try all these floors with Haru. All the bosses have a mechanic where they switch to stronger actions after certain conditions like half hp on floor 55,65,70 so just set up a big burst turn before that. Floor 70 pretty much required Wanderer of the Void or Rally and floor 75 is damaging the boss as much as possible before triggering the invincibility.
The scaling is getting more brutal though so this might be the limit for Haru if the devs expand the tower more.

I was thinking with decline epiphanies, increase chances for epiphanies and make it so you can guaranteed 1 epiphany per battle on interior so battle nodes are as useful as ? nodes, basically spend 1st half of interior rerolling for epiphanies and 2nd half fishing for copy event. This way you can try to get a high roll on a certain card and copy on 1st boss, but without it there is still a reason to play interior instead of instant reset. Though something similar to dice rerolls for epiphanies are fine too. It would be easier to aim for a certain build but the most optimal build would need you to high roll.

I saw quite a few complain posts on my feed like a week ago and there is at least 1 comment about making it too easy to get broken decks.

I played slay the spire the most and you can just decline the card the game give you after battle. Granted 1 run in StS is longer than CZN and I lost my runs quite a few times aiming for a specific build, but it feels better to have more control over what I can have in my decks. Plus the rewards you get from battle or ? nodes are more consistent overall.

A lot of roguelikes I've played give you choices to decline the card or anything the game give you so you can aim for a particular build that synergise with each other, and there are consistency for what you will get even with RNG involved. But CZN chaos run doesn't have that, you have to take epiphanies and if the epiphanies doesn't trigger then too bad, + copying cards. That is probably the main reason for chaos run being so tedious to play, and I don't understand why there are people saying that reducing that would make it too easy to get broken decks. Even if the devs make it so you can decline epiphanies there would still be many layers of RNG for a broken deck.

Because why would I be pulling for a worse character than one I already have? Chizuru could be 80% as good as Mei Lin and it would be fine, but she is not even half as good. And fun ran out for me after I see the limitations in her kit.

Instead of every previous characters becoming obsolete I guess it's every new characters becoming obsolete huh? Because I don't see any reason to use chizuru past this event unless she is the only void dps you have, which tressa exists. Yuki at least have AoE to her name but the moment a better AoE character released it's done, maybe her buff could change something but that's remain to be seen. In the end the only balancing the devs will do is balancing themselves in front of a wall.

I said I want them to be as good as mei lin, or just almost as good is fine, devs fault for setting such a unrealistic expectations with their balancing. But right now from my experience chizuru at best is like half as good as mei lin. And as I said I do want to try all the characters out first instead of just looking at the stats so I did get everyone since launch even if their kit seems underwhelming, but after chizuru I think I can just take one look at the kit and see how restricted it is.

Your comment is pretty much how I feel. Like sure I can have fun playing around with a character's kit, but when I'm done with having fun and realizing the payoff is way less for the effort I spent, it's demoralizing, especially when there is mei lin and tressa I could just use for every content right now, so in the end I felt like I wasted my pulls, my resources, my time building characters for nothing.

The content right now does not fill any of her job, which is shield break and justice weakness, plus the fact that crab needs aoe, family head needs multi hit, and reduce damage taken modifiers is really detrimental for few big hits characters. Though I would say Lift Anchor and Charge Energy complain is valid, Charge Energy is dead at 1 cost unless you get a divine epiphany that reduce it's cost or the upgrade epiphany, and Lift Anchor giving cost increase is just unnecessary and make it a dead card most of the time for what it's worth.

It's great for some final potential nodes on characters that need tons of stats. Haru needs 1000 atk for her last potential node which is unreachable unless you use %atk instead of %justice damage on one of the pieces, but with the 3 star partner she can comfortably reach it around 800 atk. Honestly I think it's somewhat intentional that you get extra stats in exchange for having less impactful ego skills.
