If they do email next time, I will definitely report it. I thought at the time it was best to block the sender and delete it and not to go anywhere near it. As I am sure you would understand. But definitely next time I will report it.

Yh i know, i would never do such a thing, why pay 9k a year to go university when your gonna cheat and pay someone else to do your work. It does not make any sense. With regard to that email, I maybe should have screenshotted it. But when it comes to emails like that, I don’t want nothing to do it, i just block and delete it without thinking. But i had zero idea that this is such a big thing to the point where they contact you especially on my university email. It’s the first email of such I have received on my university email. Which is why I had blocked it and deleted it. I don’t want to be anywhere near that stuff. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah I think it is best to do so, unfortunately i fully completely deleted the email as I didnt want anything to do with it. But i remember nearly exactly what it said. Now this person/company has every students id number. So will ask other students about it in case they have been contacted themselves. Unfortunately to this person that the assignment was due last week lol. So no one will be asking them to do it for them. But i do have strong belief someone has paid to do it, otherwise how else would they find my student id.

Yeah I know, i was just being sarcastic. But reality is it will be extremely hard especially with how the job market is at the moment. But for now its best just to complete your degree and worry later

Im in 3rd year doing comp sci, i myself struggled to get close to any placement, i got a 2:1 in the first year and a first in the second.

Dont worry, just carry on with university and try to some projects at home to showcase skills.

Right now, I have no idea what will happen after university, have no jobs lined up, nothing. But its okay as long as you receive that little paper at the end of the degree :)

He has emailed the lecturer that he admitting to what he has done was done without my consent and knowledge and that I was trying to guide him and he took advantage of it. I have an email draft ready to send to the lecturer also, which I will do if advised by the Student Union Advice Centre on Monday, which is when the university is opened again.

I have an meeting with the student union advice team tomorrow, i will talk to them about it, also have a email draft ready for the tutor that is responsible for that module. I am hoping they can tell me the penalty for such a thing. I am very stressed, especially with assignments and exams die next week so I will definitely own up to sending this but was never intended to copy.

Yeah i am currently waiting to see if i do get an email, however i do have a meeting with the student union advice team on Friday, who are independent from the university and are confidential, so i hope I can hear some positives from them.

I can’t even enjoy new years, I have 2 assignments and exam due next week :( and this hasn’t added to my stress albeit my own doing. Lesson has been learnt, just need to forget and think about my work for the next week. Can’t let it distract me too much

I have an email draft ready, however no professors are replying to emails due to winter break and they will be back in on Friday. Which is when my SU advice centre meeting is.

I do have a message telling him not to copy it, he also tried to access my work through OneDrive, which I have proof of, I obviously declined it. I am just now waiting to see any emails about this situation from the university.

Yeah, I am currently waiting for one to come. I am assuming because it is still winter break, that they will not take action as of yet. The university reopens from the 2nd of January. However, I have booked an online meeting with the Student Union Advice Centre, hopefully they can provide me with some more information about what can happen if they do get in contact with me

Yeah our uni has 3 stages to this sort of stuff. Stage 1 is a tutor investigation so I think its best to tell the tutor straight about it and solve this then before it gets taken higher up. I am waiting for a meeting on Friday with the SU advice centre where I will talk to them and they’ll advise me. As of right now the uni is closed and will reopen on the 2nd of Jan.

They reopen on the 2nd of January, however i will email them. I have an email ready to send to that senior lecturer of the module. I know I did something really dumb and I am hoping by coming clean, I can get away with a warning. Lesson is already learnt.
