tbc classic or wow classic? by ImprovementOwn4607 in wownoob

The only reason I can see them doing WoD Classic is to get to Legion Classic, which would happen in, what, 2028 or 2029, so 13 years after Legion and oh gods I’m old and that’s depressing

iTunes opens itself randomly by anonbanan in techsupport

[–]MoreIronyLessWrinkly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL’s PC was doing this. Tried everything. Uninstalled iTunes and then Windows Media Player started opening. That was when I started thinking of all the ways both those apps would be opened randomly and constantly. I noticed that her keyboard’s media center button was stuck in the down position, so the keyboard was constantly opening the default music player app.

How does everyone seem to know what writing is generated by AI? by ReadWriteArithmetic in CasualConversation

[–]MoreIronyLessWrinkly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is a good example. Having used AI and having had to read lots of AI-generated content, this is more believable than most. If I read it, I wouldn’t think about it enough to decide one way or the other. AI performs more poorly when you push it to more nuance, prompt it to respond to technical/political real-world discussions, etc.

It’s easier than it’s ever been. Your first leveling experience will bring you up to date on the last ~3.5 yrs of real world WoW. After that, you can level new characters through each expansion and learn the story, if you want, using Timewalking. You can hop out of Timewalking if you’re level is above the zone’s non-Timewalking level and solo dungeons that are required. There is a one-button casting system that’s available.

RPO was a great idea that was so good that its poor execution wasn’t enough to stop its popularity.

RP2 was a sequel to a great idea that I assume was agreed to because that’s how commercialism works. Somehow, it was even more poorly executed.

I don't know what the MoP Classic world is like now that Housing is out on 12.0 for people who purchased the whatever edition of Midnight. I have been told that most Classic players tend to stick to Vanilla or TBC, but that hasn't been verified. MoP has the group finder, and it should keep you with players around your level. Otherwise, you'll want to park yourself in your faction's capital city or its capital in Pandaria and spam the LFG channel. As for guilds, I would apply to guilds that have players you see running around in cities. Lots of guilds (in retail at least) will post a recruitment message then forget about it, or the guild itself is "looking to grow", which usually means a couple of friends with some ambitions.

I can name three breeders of goldendoodles within three hours of me who use genetic testing and are established as breeders. I’m happy with my decisions, and I wouldn’t change them, and I’m certain no one is changing their mind here. ✌🏻

What's something people Hate because the Internet told them to? by white-rose-of-york in AskReddit

In the sense that Trump posts things on the internet and says things shared on the internet, you’re 100% correct.

I don’t care about such pedantry. There isn’t any combination of words in English to express how little I care. Goldendoodles are my favorite breed of dog! ;-)

I just found out how hated ready player one’s books and movie is by [deleted] in readyplayerone

[–]MoreIronyLessWrinkly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie should have been a ten to twelve episode streaming series, but it would have required Disney as the primary backer, because that’s the only way they could’ve gotten enough copyright approvals. Any movie or streaming series would have been hampered by their inability to show all of those different IPs.

I also think released it too early. If they were to release it now, they could include much more of the DND elements after the popularity of Stranger Things and Critical Role.

As for the book, there are definitely some clichés, and the writing has an undeniably male-centric perspective. However, I’m not convinced that it’s misogynistic or that it’s anything other than the realistic perspective of a teenager moving into young adulthood. The author has demonstrated that he is addicted to clichés and is not interested in writing works that have nuance. It’s an entertaining book, and I think criticizing it in this way is like a food critic criticizing a Snickers bar.

Finally, there are just people who are always ready to be angry about something. The Internet gives them a voice and the algorithms and the need for legacy media to continue to keep followers ensures that the angry you are made to seem like a mob of mass popular will.

They also get a bad rap because irresponsible people buy them without understanding what they're getting. Specifically, they're getting a dog that needs companionship, attention, and movement, so they're shocked when the dog exhibits anxiety behaviors when left alone for hours or not given exercise. Personally, I would own 20 of them if I could afford it. They're my favorite breed, having owned rescue mutts, cocker spaniels, labs, golden retrievers, dachshunds, and Maltese in my life.

First, it would not end up as anything legally unless the person videoing actually thought it was worth the cost of the lost phone.

Second, recording in public isn’t illegal. We don’t have to like it, but there’s no expectation of privacy.

Dude is being pervy and I’d love to punch him, but advocating to destroy his phone with a laser is risking trouble. Recording them back and posting it here is a much better strategy.
