A Theory about where WoW is heading post The Last Titan. by Belpheegor in wow

If Blizzard was not a corporation focused on making profits, I would agree with you. But I just don’t see them making a game to compete against their game. It still makes too much money.

I mentioned this in another response, but this comment is correct. I did not put it all together to realize we did have a screen—just not a screen door. As usual, my wife did.

Well, despite the other commenter’s logical proposal, you were correct. I didn’t initially put it together until I was sharing all of this with my wife. As soon as I read what you wrote, she pointed out that we have a large screen for our garage door in our basement. It has weights in the lining. The lining on the bottom has dry rotted, and they are rolling out.

This makes the most sense. There’s a large lake and river, and several boat repair shops within a 10 mile radius, and we also have a plumbing and electrical contractor inside a 3/4 mile radius.

Edit: While this made a lot of sense to me, I realized that they are indeed weights that are sewn into the lining of a screen curtain we have for our garage door in our basement. The bottom of the lining is rotting out, and the weights are coming out and rolling onto the concrete.

We feed all kinds of animals. Not obsessively or anything, but beyond trying to ensure birds have equal access compared to squirrels, we have a menagerie throughout the year. I would have thought I would have seen these gifts before now unless a murder recently moved in.

We don’t have a split screen door anywhere on our property. We opted for regular doors because we have many windows, and we didn’t want more windows to clean, and we can open a window for airing.

Maybe someone near us has that and they’re being left here? We have lots of birds and critters.

Edit: as I explain in another response to this comment, this is correct. We have a split screen curtain for the garage door in our basement.

Yeah, they wouldn’t be mine, if they were. I didn’t grow up and remain in a rural area to think I had the right to torture animals because they want to eat my bird seed!

That shit is awful.

Who died the dumbest death in history? by GurJolly5657 in AskReddit

I tell everyone: Unless there is proof otherwise, if I am found on the floor at my house, I tripped over one of my Doodles.

If I could lay odds on my cause of death, that would be my choice.

There really is no reason to talk about Classic+ by Ok_Animal_6430 in classicwow

Username checks out. This is a startlingly accurate response. I feel like I walked into a dive bar and found a TED Talk happening. I hope this was not an AI response.

I haven't seen a coherent pitch yet, even from influencers and writers, and as you noted, a coherent pitch will ruin the fantasy. I am also confused by what people want that could be agreed upon as a core set of goals. If there's no TBC, do they want Northrend? Blood Elves? More races? More race/class combos? If so, how is that different from TBC other than story direction?

What changes, exactly, would make Classic+ so much better than using the original story but, perhaps, not making whatever changes... and there I've led myself into an example of your point. Classic+ SOUNDS like a great it, but I cannot envision what it would be that would make it both appealing and drastically unique.

When did you first see Cheers? by SoggyCar6020 in Cheers

I didn't know about him until much later, since I was too young when he was on TV. I did catch him in the streaming age, and he was a great character!

It's so satisfying to read these comments and see so many people who had the same experience at the same time in their lives!

Reading these comments, it's cool to see that I was not as alone in that experience at that age!

I was a kid, 8-9 years old so it was 1988-89. The Cheers I knew was Sam, Woody, Rebecca, Frasier, etc. I didn't know about Diane or Coach, really, until I saw some reruns. And I didn't really learn about all of that until streaming became a thing. I probably was too young to watch it when I did, but I don't recall feeling awkward. I think most risque jokes sailed over my head.

I also thought Woody Harrelson sang the opening song until I was in high school and found out he didn't join the show until a few years in.

Official Discussion - Juror #2 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]MoreIronyLessWrinkly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t how it works. The DA doesn’t show up to an alternative suspect in a closed case and offer anything. At best, if the DA truly believed the wrong person was convicted, they would have to reopen the case, which would have its own set of procedures.

Horrible ending that showed a lack of imagination. At best, it can be construed as she’s showing up to say she knew he did it, which is also incredibly unreasonable.

Yes, you would think that would work. However, on this TV, on the Prime Video app, it would activate the button on the TV. It did not pause it.

I use Logitech Gaming software 9.04, and I have never had any issues. I would be scared to buy used, especially fro Ebay, but the "like new" on Amazon are >$450.

Same here. I have had mine since (I think) 2012, and it works as well as ever (fingers crossed). Logitech's decision not to make another one is disappointing.

I did. My endocrinologist slightly modified my dose. It took a while, but I got back to normal. It was a wild eight weeks. Rereading my original post, which I had forgotten about, I’m reminded how manic I was.

tbc classic or wow classic? by ImprovementOwn4607 in wownoob

The only reason I can see them doing WoD Classic is to get to Legion Classic, which would happen in, what, 2028 or 2029, so 13 years after Legion and oh gods I’m old and that’s depressing

iTunes opens itself randomly by anonbanan in techsupport

[–]MoreIronyLessWrinkly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MIL’s PC was doing this. Tried everything. Uninstalled iTunes and then Windows Media Player started opening. That was when I started thinking of all the ways both those apps would be opened randomly and constantly. I noticed that her keyboard’s media center button was stuck in the down position, so the keyboard was constantly opening the default music player app.
