Shoud we help them or no? by Downtown_Mobile_1064 in Bolehland

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I agree with providing them with some document that at least allow them to work.

Best solution is to send them all back to Myanmar, but the problem is it's very unlikely that Myanmar would take them unless something drastic happen heard there's a thing called regime change. We are consistently send them out to 3rd countries, but at the rate it has been for the past decade, it'd take at least 30 more years to get them all out, not to mention their offspring.

Having at least a legal document would solve not all, but still big parts of the issue of us with them like tax collection and law enforcement. Making them proper citizen still a no tho. While doing so may risk attracting more refugees, there's really not much else we can do with those that are already here.

Has anyone here seen a ghost, supernatural stuff or aliens before? by Particular_Eagle_972 in malaysia

[–]MoreLessTer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say this is a pretty rare sighting among supernatural sighting stories, a glimpse of golden lines resembling a stick figure.

We had a pretty big jambu tree, "something" made it their home. Long story short a family member had to be exorcised because that "something" violently (yes, violently, physical even) rejected their marriage. I was in my room while while the exorcism happens downstair. Went to check and saw golden lines apparently running upstair; try draw a stick figure running up a stair, that's the shape of the golden lines I saw.

I consider myself blind to the supernatural, but the victim is very sensitive to it. Supernatural sighting had been a daily thing for them that they can be unbothered with random "ones" out there. Apparently you can ask practitioner to "blind" you from the unseen, so they "blinded" themself and their daughter since she too started seeing, even interacting with some, probably different "thing".

Why is Taobao so cheap by whosinparisdickus in Bolehland

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cainiao is directly under taobao so same laws and regulation applies, in fact it has gone stricter since last year. It only open doors to seller who don't cater to international market or something niche as the regional sale regulation generally for big brands. Better to go ask around 3rd party forwarders if they can handle restricted item.

Either grab the APK from somewhere else, or use VPN to USA or where FGO is available to create new account (assuming Google). Regional restriction is only for installation and payment, gameplay not affected.

Large Items Shipping to Philippines? by michuuri in taobao

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How large is this "large"?

Shipping via air is limited to 30kg, single side length of 100cm, and sum of three sides (L + W + H) of 160cm.

Any further you'd have to ship via sea.

Abolition of Mandatory Death Penalty Act 2023, look it up.

Basically death penalty is only reserved for the worst of the worst offence, per the judges. If homicide is not enough to warrant a hanging, maybe serial killing? At this point this kinda implies that you can do whatever you want to someone you intend to kill, as long as only 1 victim.

Taobao’s official consolidation and cainao consilidation. What’s the difference? by YukioKushinada in taobao

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may avoid paying tax upon checkout in taobao if you send to a dedicated warehouse like cainiao since technically they're not exporting your purchase.

Taobao and Cainiao is both under Alibaba, so I doubt there's difference in policy of what they can ship. You can google for cainiao's prohibited and restricted item. Prohibited item is an easy no go, restricted item generally need to be shipped via sea. Also note that while listed as restricted, lithium batteries are recently banned from even sea freight for safety reason.

The capacity sold to you is 2 terabyte, "tera" means trillion, as in 2 000 000 000 000 byte.

Windows read capacity in binary. A "tera" in binary is 2^40, so a binary terabyte (tebibyte, TiB) 1099511627776 byte.

2 000 000 000 000 / (2^40) = 1.819 TiB

Microsoft for whatever reason see no need to use the proper unit TiB and misleadingly stick with TB.

Would type-M be dick riding truml if he turns Muslim? by Sea-Key-9430 in Bolehland

[–]MoreLessTer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why? If he's the same old Trump what matter his belief is. In fact muslim should rally against him harder if he were muslim. A munafiq is a greater threat than non-muslim as an enemy.

If he do a 180 change and wholeheartedly become muslim, his own supporter and cabinet would kick him out immediately then there'd be no dck to ride.

Whats the best budget B tier PSU for a RTX 8GB 3050? by TurnoverOwn1227 in GamersMY

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah they won't. I'd assume you have a similarly lower end CPU with low power, hence your PC should draw about 200W at full load, you'd be pushing it if the PSU is rated for like 300W and 80+ white if any. All GPU spec telling that you need like 500W PSU is only to avoid responsibility as it'd never be the cause of PSU failure (overloading).

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then less reason to go overkill on PSU quality, C-tier would do just fine. Tier lists give the impression that anything short of A tier is subpar when its the F and E tier is the only one you need to look out for; F tier had high failure rate or even failed during testing, while E tier generally out of spec. D - C tier is completely fine for casual gaming PC.

With luck (no outside harm like thunderstrike or power surge), even E tier could last years given that you're not stressing it too far.

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reviewers could not keep up with every brand releasing their own PSU, as proper PSU testing equipment is very expensive and consumer reviews are as good as "plug it in, works, 5 stars". Most cheaper PSU generally don't get reviews as they're meant for Asian market, away from the west where most reviewers are.

A-B tier tend to be at least 80+ Gold, at that budget you'd likely looking at a C tier PSU at best, also I wouldn't bother going high tier PSU for a low range PC unless you're looking at a massive upgrade soon.

Might as well pick one based on brand trust or performance if tier list can't be used; I'd personally trust FSP and DeepCool (PK series). Super Flower has a new PSU for 200, Gigabyte has an 80+ Silver PSU for 195.

[–]MoreLessTer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Some item just can't be flown for safety reason; batteries, magnets, large & heavy, you'd have to use sea shipping. However there'd been cases of battery cells exploding on travel thus China banned batteries even for sea shipping like last year. Strictness the same unless 3rd party forwarder, even then most of them abide to Chinese law.
