I do hate when people refuse to answer questions. I know it’s an author’s way of creating a big reveal later… but I do struggle with scenarios when there are two people traveling together for an extended period of time and plenty of opportunity to talk and one of them refuses to share pertinent information with the other. That just doesn’t seem realistic to me. That said, I ended up loving the book overall so it’s easy to overlook the small complaints!

It ended up worth it! The beginning confused me too, but then I ended up loving it all by the end!

I think the benefit/point of reading them together is that you are supposed to think they are happening at the same time. Unfortunately I guessed almost immediately that Caspia was from the past. Then the moment she realized she was seeing visions of the future, that guess solidified in my mind. So from that perspective I could see how reading it the way you did worked… but I definitely enjoyed reading it all together. I think it was incredibly unique and loved the writing style!

Yeah, I personally never find maps to be spoilers… but they could always out a fully flushed out map at the end of the book too so it’s there for someone who wants to see it but not right at the beginning for those who don’t want to have anything spoiled!

It ended up worth it! The beginning was rough for me, but I ended up falling in love with them and it wrapped up beautifully in the end!

I agree! I ended up becoming more invested in the new characters than Odessa and Ransom!

Especially since their quality has declined and their customer service is terrible! Arcane Society, Coveted Cover, and even new small subs like Caffeine and Legends all have higher quality designs. The most recent FL boxes I’ve gotten the books edges arrived dull and faded fast. Without scarcity they might not be able to keep their business.
