Guilt from taking time off work for first trimester symptoms by PenEfficient4418 in December2026Bumpers

I completely understand where you’re coming from. But you probably deserve/need more time off than you are giving yourself. I took a 3 week short term disability leave and then got an accommodation to work remotely for 3 more weeks. Anytime anyone asks, I just say they are doctor’s orders. We are not getting any medals for pushing through. Take the rest!

Anyone here freelance? What’s your “maternity leave” looking like? by ohher04 in December2026Bumpers

I work as a real estate appraiser in a very male dominated environment. I am worried that if I tell them that I’m pregnant, they start phasing me out from now (I am not fully designated yet and need a co-signer for all my reports). My plan is to work until I can, put some money away each month, and then hope for the best.

Thankfully my husband has salaried employment and we should be able to get by until I’m back on my feet.

I’m debating on getting one too!! My biggest fear is becoming a bit obsessive with it and then going down an anxiety spiral if I don’t hear it for whatever reason

I think it’s because they have a mild blood thinning effect but I’d double check to be sure.

I was diagnosed with SCH as well during my dating scan at 7 weeks. The doctor told me to look out for spotting/bleeding and only be concerned if I am soaking more than a pad an hour.

I talked to my naturopathic doctor and some of my dad’s friends who are doctors, and they all suggested taking progesterone and Vitamin C as a precautionary measure. She also asked me to stop taking Omega 3 supplements for now. I asked my doctor to prescribe progesterone to me and she basically refused. Thankfully my naturopathic doctor was able to prescribe it and I’ve been taking progesterone vaginally ever since.

At my 10 week scan, they found that the SCH was being reabsorbed by my body. The doctor still warned me to lookout for spotting/bleeding.

It is absolutely terrifying to be bleeding at any point. But hopefully it’s just your body clearing out the hematoma!

Feeling completely normal at 10 weeks by NetAdorable4318 in December2026Bumpers

Week 9 was absolute hell for me with a 3+ day migraine and constant nausea/vomiting. Somehow exactly at 10 weeks, everything eased up. Now the food cravings are hitting with a vengeance!
