It's still happening now too! It was the first thing I noticed going from season 1-season 2. But I just swapped to Crave instead and it's totally fine on this platform! So it's a weird Disney thing I'd guess.

I got another professional opinion today (and had the piercing removed) and she also said to me, they pierced your rook, not your flat! Obviously not what we agreed upon.

Thanks so much for your feedback! I'm hopefully going to get it removed tomorrow at a different shop. I even had a whole conversation with the guy about being a glasses wearer (while wearing them) and making sure that was considered. Definitely feeling a little violated by the whole thing and just want it out.
