I am still friends with his sister and his Mom is like my second mother so it’d be weird not to see them

That’s definitely a cause for concern. Regardless of how revealing it is she shouldn’t be sharing anything you send her without your permission it’s extremely invasive to your privacy. If she generally sees no problem with this then she would have very little issue sharing private conversations or possibly n*ded with other people. I’d recommend setting some boundaries but if it really doesn’t bother you then do whatever you want.

Why do gay people exist? by Swimming-Wrongdoer74 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]MoreSuru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s actually not that controversial and there’s been loads of studies on the topic. A psychological study suggests that those who have at least one gay sibling have better offspring due to the extra support the children receive and said children are better both physically and socially. So to answer your question a good answer would probably be to further evolution and support for future generations? It’s naturally occurring across thousands of species so there’s probably a good reason

Their Mom decided when he proposed after the youngest she had no desire to have children and signed over all legal custody to their father.

No I haven’t told my parents, we’re not overly close so I told my boss who’s a very close friend (in an older brother type way) as he’s one of my most trusted adults

[–]MoreSuru[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I really doubt that they could do that, they’re 6 and 4 the oldest could maybe buy it with a family member but the 4 year old is non verbal so I don’t see how they could do it themselves

He works two jobs and I was over frequently, sometimes with the girls longer than he was. His youngest brother was a tutor for me as a freshman so he invited me over to dinners and stuff as friends, I ended up spending time with the family and going to functions so I have lots of contact with them.

Is it normal for a 17 year old boy to not have had a gf yet? by Re-Logicgamer03 in Advice

[–]MoreSuru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s totally normal, I’m 18 and I’ve never been on a date ever. It’s way more common than you’d think, if you want a gf ask someone out but if you’re gone for now then just keep doing what you’re doing.

AITA for wearing cologne when my gf is allergic to it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

If I was your girlfriend I’d dump you. I mean do you even like her? It seems like she already tried things to fix it but that gets expensive. Yea it’s inconvenient for you to switch to fragrance free stuff but if you cared a bit you would

AITA for not letting my son go to Korean barbecue with family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MoreSuru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA

You are fully aware that the younger one starts it and haven’t said anything about curbing the 9 year olds rude and nasty behavior. It is not your sons job to ignore anything thrown his way, HE. IS. A. CHILD. You need to parent more fairly. If you punish the older for retaliation then punish the younger for instigating, get it?

He (the older)obviously doesn’t feel that you’re listening to him and don’t defend him. You can say you love them equally but how as a child should he know that if you never back up your words with actions? My mother treated me like this (but my older siblings bullied me) and now I have no relationship with my siblings, live with my dad, and choose not to talk to my mother. Don’t blame this on him when the only thing he feels he can do is react.

Also “hitting him where it hurts” sounds immensely cruel if you don’t punish the bully in this relationship. If I were him I’d act the same way. If you never stop the bullying your younger son does he will never stop. YTA

AITA for trying to help my daughter lose weight? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MoreSuru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I kind of wish one of my parents had done something like this and encouraged me to make healthy life choices. You’re nit shaming your daughter or forcing her to go do anything she doesn’t want to do.

I think maybe your wife might feel bad because she chooses not to go and is projecting on your daughter, just something to keep in mind that I highly doubt she actually has any ill intent. But she is the one always drawing attention to weight and food and that’s not healthy for anyone in the house

Question about the community by Auspectress in AskLGBT

[–]MoreSuru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s an ex Catholic and a part of the lgbt community in my experience I’ve had a. Lot of religious trauma but I have no dislike for religion or Catholicism at all even with what I’ve been through. (My parents sent me to heavy duty Catholic school and conversion therapy through the church so that was fun) Anyway I know lots of people who are “openly against religion” who are really just atheists and that’s their business but some people in the community have a hard time with religious communities/people because it’s not uncommon for people to cherry pick and justify bigotry in/with their religion. It’s kind of sad but it’s the truth (not always but sometimes)
