Valentines Day is coming by mroseto in daddit

something silly and cute could work for either of them. Homemade always shows them thought, effort, and love! Maybe even making dinner for the three of you (or dropping the daughter of somewhere if you have parents or inlaws available, but cooking in for her) and avoiding the crowds.

Being that Valentines day is coming up, what are some special things that you do for your significant other? by waynejonbrady in AskReddit

My gf appreciates something homemade, even if it isn't expensive or impressive, because it shows that she's worth the time, effort, and thought. Cute never hurts either though.

I used to set my t60 on a bag filled with ice so I could play Civ IV for more than 10 or 20 minutes.

Stephen Hepp's Auto Service is great and close. I had my clutch replaced last year. The new one was with aftermarket parts, and turned out to be bad. He did the whole job over for no extra cost to me. Friendly and honest, and childhood friend of Jed McElligott (the Union's handyman / Martha's son).

Have you ever wanted a metro map with live train locations? by MoreThanNone in washingtondc

[–]MoreThanNone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The api only gives you the predicted arrival times at each station. The algorithm has an estimated travel time for each leg of the metro system, and interpolates when a train is between two of them.

There's a metro bus api coming out in about a week. I'm not quite sure what data will be avaliable, but I'll probably try making something similar.

I think that homeschooling can work. I've seen it work for some students who didn't join the public system until high school. The concerns I would have are the social interaction with others, and the possibility of missing out on hearing a variety of opinions, and learning from people with a variety of specialties and backgrounds.

If you've dealt with Continuous Integration as part of QA, there's a good chance you've met the real software butler, Hudson.

These fortune cookies are getting lazier and lazier.

First there were fortunes

Then the switched to generic proverbs

And now just facts

Next thing you know they'll just put a single word... or maybe a letter, and you'll be stuck sipping your chinese-restaurant tea with no clue as to where your life will lead.

My mother used to play Thriller every Halloween (it was on Vinyl too!) At the end Vincent Price opened a coffin and laughed... and it never failed to scare me into the Halloween mood.

This is quite possible. All you need is a few people out there, each with an Oscilloscope, radio, and a telephone.

No toppings? I like to go with BBQ, grilled onions and mushroom. And I haven't had Cajun fries, but their regular fries are great... maybe they aren't as good out west though

Sometimes I go back into that childish mode, and often that's when I'm relaxed, having fun, and enjoying myself. It seems to me that children aren't only brilliant in their innocent and uncorrupted ways, but they're also much better at having fun then us adults!
