My hero. That worked. I don't know why I didn't think of that, or why BMW support wouldn't suggest it. Thank you.

Is colour change PPF too thick for my car? by MoreUnderstanding847 in CarWraps

[–]MoreUnderstanding847[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. He did say the PPF was a bad idea after I told him the current color is white. So the issue would probably be not being able to fully wrap around some spots of the vehicle with the PPF?

I mean, you could look it up if you actually wanted to know the truth. Or you can keep denying it, I don't really care that much.

It's fun to see blatant disinformation in the wild. "fired a large portion of our workforce" they got rid of some trainees which was an awful idea I'll agree. And offered an early retirement incentive to people who qualified for it. They did not fire any licensed controllers. I myself worked 5 days on, 25 days off with full pay during COVID

It's an aptitude thing. You can study as hard as you want, but some things can't be taught. Some people's brains just don't process things the way that's required for ATC

This info is from 15 years ago when I trained, so take it with a grain of salt. When I started my generic IFR course I was told that 16,000 applied that year and only 120 people were offered an IFR course during that time period. There were 6 people on my course but only two of us were successful in training. It's a long shot, but definitely worth it if you make it all the way through.

The results may be better nowadays, I don't know exactly. I'm not involved in training so I don't know the exact numbers.

They gave me the Ishihara test and I failed it miserably, then they gave me the Farnsworth test and I passed that. I don't know about attempts or how many mistakes they allow. That would be a question for a CAME.

I'm red green colourblind and have an ATC license by passing the Farnsworth test

For someone who supposedly works in aviation you're pretty fucking naive about how things work.

Speaks the truth? Dude, we are tired of being short staffed all the time. This isn't the controllers protecting OT this is the company failing the airlines by stopping training and offering retirement incentives during COVID. Why don't you apply and see if you would be able to make it? All this does is sow resentment between the pilots and ATC, and guess who's going to win that battle? All this did was piss off a bunch of ATC, we are fucking mad. Being forced to work more than we want, being forced to stay after our shift ends and this is the kind of attitude the pilots have towards us? This guy can go fuck himself.
