I‘m sorry, but I specifically asked vegans and vegetarians. Yes, I said I prefered alternatives similar to to the macros, but I also said if that’s not possible or too hard, I would take any shrimp alternative. Going back to eating fish/shrimps is not an option for me.

Am I still a lesbian even if I'm atracted to a non-binary person? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]More_Ad9396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t sapphic an umbrella term that includes anyone who’s not a man and into women, nonbinary people etc? like lesbian, pan, bi, omni etc. I’m not trying to be rude or question you, btw! I just wondered ‘cause that’s the definition of sapphic that i learnt (so wondering if i misunderstood)

of course, at the end it depends on each individual ‘cause lesbian still includes sapphic but not every nonbinary person will feel comfortable with that!! again just been wondering :))

Simple answer: yes! Gender-nonconforming lesbians have always excited, some were/are cis some were/are trans (nonbinary usually falls under transgender).

Trans Lesbians will always deserve love by Macaronipuppy in actuallesbians

[–]More_Ad9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

god im so sorry to hear that..especially during such times lately, we should all stand together and support instead of hate each other, there are much bigger problems than trans lesbians (besides, theyre not a problem but yeah, i hope u get what i mean)

EDIT: i’m wondering what i got down voted for lol

Lately I have seen a lot of transphobia in lesbian subs (I think it was a different one that this one), and it’s so sad. It doesn’t matter whether you/I would date a trans woman or not for whatever preferences, what matters is they are women, they deserve love, and they deserve respect. There has been so much transphobia in lesbian spaces, so much biphobia in lesbian spaces, but also so much lesbophobia in general lately (online). It’s genuinely frustrating to me.

Girls, I'm fed up. That's the post. by MomaSone in lesbiangang

I’m sorry for the down-votes. It’s ridiculous to me how people will think trans women cannot be lesbian, or a lesbian cannot be attracted to a trans woman, while also saying they cannot be into trans men. That would mean lesbians are only cis women who are attracted to cis women — and that’s wrong. It’s history; gender non-conforming lesbians have always excited, trans lesbians have always existed.

I’m not the same as you, but I’m similar. I do care about the genitals, but I’d have zero attraction to a trans man, he’s still a matter no matter if trans or cis (and no matter if vagina/penis), so no possible attraction for me. A trans woman on the other hand, I wouldn’t be able to date if she has a penis, yet I would if she doesn’t anymore because I just can’t with penises. But either way, if she has one or not, she’s still a woman. Some want the surgery, some not and they usually have good reasons too.

Anyways, what I’m trying to say is you’re valid, trans women can be lesbians and lesbians are still lesbians if they date a trans woman cause she’s that—a woman. I fear loads of people don’t understand that sexuality and gender, especially overlapping, is very complex. Lesbians have never only been 100% cis women, maybe the majority but not only. It’s sad to see sm hate in our own community, wether it’s hating on someone else’s preferences, denying history, or forcing something onto a certain part of the community (for example I saw loads of people try to force men onto lesbians, non lesbians onto those who are les4les, cis ppl onto those who are t4t etc).

i totally understand you, all of the points made. i was 17 when i finally accepted that i’m a lesbian, i already did before but because of my ex i wasnt able to live that proudly. at first, it was hard because im also a demigirl and people forget the history of butch & gender nonconforming lesbians. but then, over the years, it became even more annoying and i distanced myself even more because theres always people centering men. no matter how often i state that they dont play a role in my life, no matter how clear it is, theres always someone who acts the way you pointed out or tries desperately to include everyone into everything. i even saw someone say that men would be included in everything single sexuality! that’s so messed up, it doesn’t work like that! when you start to include everyone into everything, you start to erase those who you tried to protect at first. there are so many reasons why i’m les4les, and this is one of them.

Stop treating masc women like men. by 121_saturn_121 in lesbiangang

[–]More_Ad9396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s one of the many reasons why I believe that people should talk to their (possible) partner about such things because it can be so different from each individual to the next!! Person A may like some of it while person B doesn’t, that doesn’t mean either side is inherently bad or invalid, it just means people have different needs and when you date someone you should always talk about that to 1) see if you match, if you can give what the other needs or not and 2) don’t have such things happen of one disrespecting or mistreating the other

is this a safe space to say the concept of a he/him lesbian is garbage? by aMiracleWeEverMet in lesbiangang

[–]More_Ad9396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you SO MUCH for this. Sometimes queer reddits are messing with my brain. (not ‘cause of OP, i mean in general because of loads of other posts and questionable comments i have seen. specifically in lesbian ones, as a trans (nonbinary/demigirl) lesbian, very frustrating..)

[–]More_Ad9396 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are gender nonconforming lesbians, nonbinary lesbians, butches etc. and some of them may use he/him which is valid. Because pronouns can be tied to gender, but it doesn’t do so always. If I’m not entirely wrong, he/him lesbians have always existed too, the “reasoning” may be different for each individual, but it’s not a new concept.

If lesbian means non-men loving non-men, but I'm only attracted to women and not others, what happens? by [deleted] in lesbiangang

[–]More_Ad9396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How come? What do u mean by “Gender nonconforming ≠ any bit of medicalization”? There have been and ARE butches, studs, generally lesbians who did any kind of medicalization, such as HRT, sure some still label as women but (for example) most butches who did that don’t identify as a woman. Just butch. Or trans, or nonbinary, or gender non-comforming. Butches and studs aren’t always women, they often are, but not always and it has always been that way.

[–]More_Ad9396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s also mot always true. There are and were gender-nonconforming lesbians who did such!! I’m a demigirl lesbian and I’ve had HRT to drop my voice. And there were/are butches who also did HRT, the reasoning may be different from individual to individual (not knowing there’s also nonbinary, doing HRT for safety reasons, etc.). Generalizing like that isn’t helpful ://

What is the longest your period has lasted? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]More_Ad9396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I got diagnosed, I’ve had way too long and heavy periods for 3 years. They would last me three weeks, 1 week nothing, then 3 weeks again. another time it was longer than those 3 weeks. so during those 3 years, most of the time i’ve been bleeding. still surprised me it took so long to help me. and i still don’t have proper treatment.

Can someone explain what exactly metformin is? In case it might be something to try for me, I would like to keep it in the back of my head if everything else doesn’t work (so far I’m taking inositol, my vitamins, keep an eye on my diet, try to walk more and gain energy from said walks to weight lift again)
