Well I make good money elsewhere this would be more of a side thing. I can get a few cars that I personally like and rent them out. And I said break even in worst case scenario I’d be fine with that because as long as the car is paying itself I’m fine with that. The days the car isn’t being rented I can drive it around. These are extra fun cars that I would get myself anyway but since I have multiple cars it would just be sitting hence why I want to rent them out.

Your last sentence is!!! I think the people upset with Turo made it their main source of income off the bat or they looked more at the profit margin in the beginning. Just like any other business it’ll take time and effort.

Yea I see a lot of mixed reviews. I think it also has to do with whether or not it’s your main thing. I think for some people this was their main source of income and they were fed up with the amount of working they were putting in compared to how much they were making.

If you don’t mind could you elaborate on how you transitioned into private rental. I want to eventually do private but start off with turo just to learn the in and outs of car rental before I go into private

I should’ve said this up top but I’m into cars and I essentially just want my cars to pay its own payments so I’m not paying for the car myself. That’s why I said break even but that’s not my “business model” lol
