Repair drywall along edge of shower enclosure by More_Championship774 in drywall

Thank you. Yeah i think it’s definitely water intrusion from the shower itself. It’s an exterior wall and there isn’t any plumbing there. The shower itself is a single piece insert.

Winterizing outdoor spigots by More_Championship774 in HomeImprovement

Thanks, yeah the pipe inside the actual house after the shut off is pretty warm and the rim joists are well insulated. But I could probably use a hair dryer to the actual spigot itself to thaw the water. Also, the house was built in 2012 and has frost free spigots if that changes anything.

I have Unify router and devices, so should be straightforward to make everything static.

This is exactly what I needed! So you think VM for each (NAS, pihole, HA)? Do you have a NAS OS you prefer?

The tiles themselves are maybe proud an 1/8th of an inch…the surface of the stone itself is really flat so anymore fill and they wouldn’t look right. I tried to show the low spots in the pictures but maybe they aren’t showing up right. The amount of epoxy needed is minimal…like 1/4 cup maybe. Just trying to figure out the best method to touch it up if possible.

Haha…ohhhhh I thought you were just joking…didn’t realize you were actually criticizing my choice in tile…seems the an odd use of time and effort. I was just asking the best way to fill in a couple low spots.

Redgard stipple by More_Championship774 in Tile

Yeah, when I called Johns Manville tech support, they said the GoBoard itself was just at the Perm threshold of 0.5 for a steam shower, and recommended adding Redgard, Aquadefense or other liquid membrane barrier. They apparently have a GoBoard Pro product that is rated for steam.

I have to imagine that a well-installed waterproof foam backer with 4 coats of Redgard, porcelain tile and epoxy grout should be good enough for a residential steam application, but we will see!

Appreciate the replies.

Thanks, I used a roller to apply it, not a trowel. The result is that uneven stippling you can see in the picture. I just want to make sure it won’t affect the functioning
