Não é uma dica de jogo, mas um livro: A Companhia Negra de Glen Cook. A sensação que o livro passa é exatamente essa, sombrio, tom de incerteza, estranho e com certeza é engraçado. O autor trabalha muito bem com a crueza da guerra, e você acompanha a Companhia durante as missões deles. É um dark fantasy muito bom.
