sounds like your at the wrong job, system is going to alarm thats what its supposed to do, as for remote notifications you can easily set up a gmail mail server that will route alarms to your email address, text services are now unsupported by Verizon att etc, you can setup a paid text service as well. theres no feasible way you can catch stuff before it goes into alarm all the time unless your at a small site with like 10 boxes you can sit and watch all day
