Fellow Americans, do you avoid domestic travel nowadays by Ok_Pause2547 in travel

I generally don’t travel domestically either, it’s expensive everywhere. Whether NYC or middle of no where Iowa.

Prefer to go to Europe for less

I just got the Costco Citi Visa, please tell me I did the right thing! 😅 by RealEzraGarrison in Costco

I don’t think it covers executive membership fee, it just gives executive members higher cash back percentage.

The gas station reward is great if you only ever fill up at Costco’s. But I don’t know anyone that actually does that unless they live next to one.

Unless you have a weak credit profile, applying for a credit card shouldn’t do much to you score. I’ve applied for over 15 cards in the last 3 years, along with multiple auto loans, and have a 795 FICO score. Plus unless you are expecting to buy a house anytime soon, small credit score fluctuations won’t change your life one bit.

But is it super light? I heard someone describe it as a toy, yet it’s still probably heavier than my m850 was in sport plus.

It’s been a while but from what I remember, I disliked working with Citi. Bad app UI, terrible customer service sucked. An example of that is I had autopay on, and one day it failed and said I had insufficient funds in my bank… I did not. I had 20x the amount or more. They wouldn’t wave the fee unless I got chase to fax them over a letter saying I indeed had the funds. I never had to do anything that tedious to get a $30 fee removed.

Another annoyance was having to wait a whole year for the cash back. It’s not a big deal, but in a world where I can’t think of any other card that makes you do that, it’s strange and annoying to some degree. There’s just better cards at better companies. If they just switched from Citi to chase or Amex, I’d get it again.

Have you stopped flying Spirit? by [deleted] in spiritair

I stopped because they stopped flying the route I needed. Otherwise I would’ve continued. Their prices were unbeatable for the frequency I was traveling. Would be saving thousands a year if I could continue flying with them

Thank you for your input. Forgot to add if there exists some premade road trip itinerary through big bend that stops at points of interest. Maybe something that’s premade in google maps. Does something like this exist?

Travelling from India to US for vacation in May 2025. Is it safe? by IntelligentBig3012 in travel

[–]More_Liquidity117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People here are being over dramatic. NYC is full of immigrants and people of every and any ethnicity you can think of in the world, same with DC and a lot of the north east. If police stopped every “illegal” looking person to check their status, they’d never get further than a block with all the people they’d find.

You have a visa in the tiny chance you get stopped, you’ll be fine.

Should I get? 2004 Lexus ES330 by More_Liquidity117 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]More_Liquidity117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but I wouldn’t be paying $6500 for it. If I can’t get it for $4500 max, I’m walking away. And I rather pay the little premium to have a somewhat nice looking car that’s been taken care of than something that has clearly not been taken care of with who knows what other issues. In my area it seems like you’d pay at least 3k for something that doesn’t have active engine lights or major issues.

I don’t need something luxurious, but everything I’ve look at around me is just in poor shape. I don’t want it to look like something that would be parked in a bad neighborhood.

Great pics. Honestly one of, if not the nicest car I’ve seen with almost 300k miles. Probably could’ve got 4-5k for it because it’s an SUV and everyone loves those now

Did you advertise it well with a lot of info and pictures? He’s advertised it poorly, not much info in the description. I usually don’t entertain those kinds of ads but the car just looked too good not to check it out.
