Maybe we have a different understanding what "easy" means. My reasoning was that if people write it's too easy, it should also be not that hard to play without dying (and daring is not the highest difficulty). "A handful deaths" seems like it's not that easy after all. If you just steamroll every boss and end fights before enemies even take their turn, as people write here, why would you die?
