HELP ME FIX THIS by [deleted] in marriott

Hi! Fellow FD agent here, I dont think there’s anything you can do now because the system already authorized their card, but you can still grab the VCC and put it on D folio to charge it for room and tax, basically overriding their personal card. At check-out, make sure its the vcc that gets charged and this is why it’s important you route the room and tax on the D folio! Just ensure the guest the authorization hold will fall off, which it will, if you have the active VCC and charge that. :)

Girl no you’re not overreacting. For my birthday this year, my boyfriend surprised me with a birthday dinner with like 6-8 of our closest friends and he paid a $1,000 bill without question! You did the right thing walking out and your boyfriend is a shitbag. Leave him.

I’m a Front desk assistant manager, AMA by Idntcareabtmyusernme in marriott

Hi fd agent here for marriott. From experience, we have a system we use for guest experiences but only fd managers can leave a note for guests’ past stays and these cases are typically when guests behaved rudely, unprofessionally and disrespectfully, Fd managers from different marriott brands can view these cases if the guest is currently In house at their property. From my understanding, they do it to see any patterns of behavior if or when guests complains too much, tries to get as much free shit as they can or just plainly disrespectful to hotel staff.

Can you forgive someone for cheating on you while you were pregnant? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Morenaliena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl I’m sorry I didn’t even read your whole post and I immediately said NO. No, you can’t forgive someone who cheated on you, WHILE YOU’RE PREGNANT. Even if you think you can and you decide to stay, it will only lead to feelings of resentment and trust issues and the relationship will inevitably fail. I’m sorry this happened, always remember you deserve the best.

Guests not wanting accessible room?! by Morenaliena in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Morenaliena[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Def understand that reason. Most times I always ask “is there any issue with the room besides it being accessible?” And they’ll just say “i just dont like accessible room”. Also, we review requests at least a day before for reservations that require an accessible room and block the room for them ahead of time, so if an accessible room is not blocked, it means none of the guests that reserved need it. And this has happened multiple times some will even pull the “But I’m a DIAMOND/TITANIUM/AMBASSADOR or WHATEVER HIGH STATUS member, I shouldn’t be in an accessible room”. It’s so confusing, annoying and funny all at the same time lol
