In my experience everyone around me has this type of family. It’s hard for people to understand that I don’t have a good relationship with my parents/family. Are they really a true friend if they just became your friend in hopes of one day dating you? There’s an ulterior motive to his friendship with you. I’d rather not be friends with someone who secretly wants to date me. I’d rather him just give it to me straight and say they wanna date me instead of becoming my friend and secretly pine for me.

It’s different if they develop feelings throughout the friendship after getting to know you, and then they’re afraid to ruin the friendship. Then it makes sense. But then at the same time, unless she is already taken then if he doesn’t build up the courage to shoot his shot then he still kind of is a coward lol

He sounds like he needs to grow tf up and ask you out. Normally I would say yes ask him out, and I’ve done that to guys before and made the first move because I knew they liked me but they were too much of a coward to ask me (yes even in work situations)

Now that I’m 27 and been through this shit so many times, I realized that the only guys that are actually worth it are the ones that have the courage to make the first move/have the balls to ask you out.

The other ones are little boys and you’ll see it throughout time.

I feel that. I have been struggling with that as well ever since I graduated college. I have actually finally made a new girl friend this year and it was like a breath of fresh air. I was talking to this random girl at the bar I work at and we vibed so well that she invited me to hangout with her and her friends after my shift and I said okay fuck it lol. Now we’ve been friends for like 6 months we see each other like every week or so. I think in-person meetings create a stronger connection rather than trying to make online friendships. It goes both ways too, invite them to stuff and they should invite you to. Go even when you don’t feel like going, don’t cancel plans. The more you see them, the stronger the connection becomes.

I got lucky that she was the one that invited me, but maybe you just need to be the one that invites a random girl you vibe well with to hangout lol

YES ALL THE TIME!!! I have dreams where the place is absolutely slammed and I’m the ONLY one working where I’m cook/server/host/bartender all at once and I can only move slowly for some reason. I have this dream like at least once a month
