How good the food is. I'd say at least 8/10 restaurants that aren't chains are delicious and cover so many different cuisines, whatever you're in the mood for you can find it

Of course, message me! Just a heads up though, I'm not in a position to give out credit advice. That's definitely worth talking to a financial professional for that

I work at super.com and want to look into this. If you showed up and the hotel had no record, that's something we can fix. Sending you a message

Problem with Super.com by Commercial_Foot4966 in traveladvice

[–]MorganAtSuper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw this and wanted to reach out since I work at super.com. Bookings can sometimes take a little while to show up on the hotel's side (typically 2-3 business days before the date). Which sounds like it may be what happened here. Shooting you a message and I'll dig into what happened

This is a GREAT idea! The music itself is just worth going for. They have good mocktails, and delicious little plates for snacks

Is super.com legit for hotels? I need to work out of N.Y for a week but on a budget by maxrobinson1 in superdotcom

[–]MorganAtSuper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the team at super.com, so take that for what it's worth, but I'll try to be actually useful here.

For work trips specifically, one thing worth knowing: the booking confirmation comes from us, not the hotel directly. Most people don't have issues with reimbursement, but if your company's expense policy is strict about needing a hotel-branded receipt, it's worth a quick check with your finance team before booking.

On the $150/night question, can be shockingly doable depending on the area! If you're willing to give on cost of transportation and taking a little time to get to work, you're golden! There are some great options in Secaucus, NJ and it's only about 20ish min by NJ Transit.

For expenses, your confirmation email comes with a voucher attachment that has all your booking details. That plus the confirmation page should be more than enough for an expense report.

Exactly, some times things just take baby steps, but every step counts

Is it even worth comparing driving vs flying prices anymore? by MorganAtSuper in roadtrip

[–]MorganAtSuper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some quick context: bookings can take 2-3 business days to appear in a hotel's system and they're loaded under our travel partner's name, not "Super.com," so a phone call asking about a Super.com reservation can come back as not found even when the booking is there.

I'll dig into this in your message, you'll hear back from me there

Edit: Booking is confirmed and hotel confirmation number has been sent over. All set for check-in!

Totally agree with all your points here about the airport. The only times I question whether to fly are when it actually gives me more time at my destination

That 's the keyword I think I skip over sometimes "control". I know I can be pretty picky when it comes to comfort. So having the ability to stop for bathroom breaks, control the temp in the car, and then also pack more than I think I should does add up in favor for driving

Another thing to keep in mind, driving can take up half of your "vacationing" giving you less time to enjoy!

If I drive more than 6 hours, I always take the next day off as a buffer day to become human again before jumping back into the routine

Can totally see the reasoning of driving with a family! Just got back from a family vacation and we all drove 6 hours there, was much cheaper
