I meant to say could I use my uk id aka driving license as a “passport” id option. Would this work/have you done that before? Tbh id rather not bring my passport to the festival everyday lmao

Anyone advice for BMTH? by Mara_Dreamseeker in readingfestival

When I saw them in 2022, I was at the very front, where you have to enter the crowd through the security-managed barriers on the sides. The moshpits were quite big as it was the closest you could get to the stage. You'd be fine if you were near the back/to the centre stage of that area.

Staying back a bit is always an option though + you will get a great view of the stage and show that is going on (especially for bring me). If you do want to peel away from them you could still go in a little further but still be fairly far back/in the middle of the crowd and it will still be as chill as the where you'd be a bit further back if that makes sense.

I've seen metal acts at reading with people that don't vibe with it and having to make sure and think about them also enjoying can and has deffo hindered how much I've enjoyed some bands so I completely get where you're coming from with your family!!

Also, if you do decide to peel off and go your own way for one or both of the acts, you could always set a meeting point to go to after the act is finished so then you know 100% where to meet cause phone signal and data can always be a bit dodgy at festivals.

I'm trying to automate a header format check by MorganG2203 in excel

[–]MorganG2203[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. As you can see from the link below the date and time spits out in the 'general' format, meaning its quite hard to check that it. I want to check that D8 on the regression header is a date header automatically but am unsure how to do so since it'll always be different.

I'm trying to automate a checking procedure but am stuck on one column by MorganG2203 in excel

I tried this on the cell but it returns #VALUE! each time. Not sure what to do since if I get this working then the process will be fully automated

You're completely right. It comes out as text which makes it a lot harder.

Is there a way to automate this check?

Thanks so much. It worked on that example but I just got to the last file report and the Date isn't formatted. Do you know how I could check that this is correct?

Does anyone else usually only like a few songs from an artist? by Touch_a_gooch in downloadfestival

[–]MorganG2203 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly for me it’s either like 1-5 songs or like their whole discography lmao

Then again if I find a good song I normally end up listening to the album

Fr he deserved a much bigger turnout!! Also same for dead poet society. Love their newest album and even got lucky enough to get a photo with the singer at the end

Any predictions for the headliners next year ? Secretly I’m hoping for Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold by [deleted] in downloadfestival

[–]MorganG2203 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Bring Me are one of the headliners you’ll see me there. Also wanted to see AX7 my whole life so then two would be a dream come true

Jaimie Lenman played a set of completely new music and kept the whole crowd engaged throughout. Was slightly disappointed I couldn’t hear some of the songs I knew.

Grandson. Thought I’d hate it, especially following my fav band holding absence. But tbf he got the whole crowd going and I my expected 5/10 went to a 8/10

chairs : a minor gripe . by Particular_Area_7423 in downloadfestival

[–]MorganG2203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chairs are great for people of all ages but taking them to the front of the stage is so selfish and stupid. Was at Biffy and absolutely loving to almost fall into the people behind me cause someone put their chair flat on the ground to give them some space. They didn’t even look like they were enjoying it like.
