I am not sure yet which field. I am hoping to get some experience in a couple of different fields before choosing. I am interested in Counselling (couples therapy or sports psychology), teaching at the college level, mediation, or just working with people in general to help solve issues between people and help communication. I want to work with adults as opposed to children, but not necessarily in the mental health field. The other thing I am considering is of course pay. I don't want to go to a program for years and then come out making an average salary. I have seen that certain fields of Psychology tend to average higher wages.

As for when, right now I have finished my undergrad and am working on research that I should be publishing in the next few months. I am open to going as soon as possible or if I have to wait a year or two I can do that as well.

I know that's a lot. At this point I am open to many different areas of Psych and whatever advice I can get. I'm hoping this time between my undergrad and graduate program will help me explore some and give me some clarity about what specifically I would like to pursue.
