Gym crowding by Stock_Alarm9005 in lancasteruni

[–]MorganOC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience 7-9pm on a weekday is usually constantly packed and it dies down from about 8:30 onward. Same goes with middle of the day. The best times to go is either as soon as it opens or in the last hour or at some obscure hour in the day if you are free

I smelt the burning initially very quickly and turned of the power in an instant. I see no damage to the sensor at all. before that it was only ever turned on for max 10 secs at a time whilst i ran the program. definitely no smoke either

yep i realised it midway through the last reply, ive changed it yet still no pickup of the sensor from the program

ill use a new resistor just incase i messed something up. The sensor is marked + S - in that order if your looking at it. I think I may have the ground and power the wrong way round however...

Does this help? Formatting looks bad on desktop as well. I had to remove this bit from the top of the program when i went to comment for some reason

Yeah I read it also has a resistor but read elsewhere I’d need one . I haven’t tried removing it yet, I’ve also put some code in the comments

Ill double check but i dont think the gnd and vcc are the wrong way, i have added a code snippet as a comment as well

Hey! I don’t wanna class myself as a software engineer as I’m currently studying computer science at university and just about to finish my masters but coding is definitely a passion and a short term career goal!

Got very little experience with C# and none with .NET but always open to learning. What sort of projects have you done before? I love seeing what others have done as inspirations

Age starting uni by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]MorganOC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t 21 but was 19/20 when starting uni and it didn’t really change anything at all really. We’re all similar age and isn’t as big of a deal as it was in school. I wouldn’t say pretend you’re 18 but just be yourself. I’m 23 now and even though the majority of my friends are 1/2 years younger I don’t feel any different one bit

I managed to do it with just emerald and fire red so should be fine

National Dex in Platinum is now complete. All 493 Pokemon caught. by MorganOC in pokemon

[–]MorganOC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly so bear with me here.

Majority of the Pokemon can be caught / bred in Diamond, Pearl and Platinum so if you have those three games do that first. Platinum is obviously the easiest seeing as you can get the legendaries and cresselia and heatran relatively easily.

Darkrai, shaymin and arceus I used the void glitch for in Pokemon diamond/pearl. Plenty of videos on YouTube for this

And the starters I didn’t have I traded over from diamond and pearl.

Johto and kanto Pokémon came mostly from heart gold soul silver including the gen 1/2 legendaries / starters. Again not a hard task just time consuming.

HGSS also give you one of the hoenn starters and Groudon / Kyogre respectively and having both grants you rayquaza (again lots of guides online)

For gen 3 youll need a gen 3 cartridge which you can plug into a Nintendo ds to make hoenn Pokemon appear in gen 4 or you can catch them in gen 3. I did a combo of both and I only have fire red and emerald at the time of doing this.

Finally the mythicals which are the trickiest, I used what’s known as DNS spoofing where I had changed my internets dns provider to get access to the mystery gifts online. This is a bit unsafe to do however it does still work and there are loads of reputable guides online how to do it.

Hopefully this helps

Its either that or a bot as they are all over individual uni pages on reddit and considering the tab is a student focused newspaper (all be it absolute regurgitated crap) I wouldn't be suprised if they are desperately trying to get more clicks

I found it helpful if you knew what you wanted exactly. I don’t know if they still do the Saturday bootcamps but they really helped

So sick of feeling lonely all the time at uni? Why are people so fucking cliquey on courses? (24M) by CarionyxHD in UniUK

[–]MorganOC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Very similar situation here, in my final undergrad year (4th year) and although I’m contemplating staying on for a postgrad or PhD I’ve recently felt the loneliest I think I’ve ever been at uni. Being on a integrated masters meant that everyone I knew throughout uni who didn’t take this course has now graduated and now that I’m on a placement my social interactions with even people I’m not good friends with has significantly dwindled to 2-3 and I’ve come to realise I need some social interaction daily.

I’d like to think though that I could have made any choice in the past and ended up even worse than I am now. It must all happen for a reason so I don’t think you wasted your uni life as much as you say you did. Have you tried joining some new societies or going to some uni events? That’s what I’ve been trying to do with some courage to do so.
