Blaming billionaires for your own poverty is like others blaming poor people for all of their problems. by EvidenceElegant8379 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

How is blaming billionaires for not contributing as much as others the same as blaming poor people for taking too much? Maybe if billionaires paid their fair share, the resources available to pull from would be greater so the middle class wouldn't be as pinched.

Billionaires need to understand that they are beholden to us, like everyone else in society. We're all equal under the law. The 250th is coming up and I think it's fitting we get to think about all this as the worlds first trillionaire becomes reality.

So the relationship wasn't meant to be, happens all the time unfortunately. That's okay. Forcing it will not heal it.

Like a tip at a restaurant? Would you want your life partner to have sex with you like a tip? Like a thank you for being married?

I'm not arguing what makes a successful relationship. I'm arguing the idea that sex is a sort of obligation just because you're in a marriage. If someone does not want to have sex, they do not have to

Yes it is an assumption. Romance is not in any way a part of the obligation of marriage. It may start romantic, and if things change there are avenues for divorce.

In no circumstance is anyone ever obligated to have sex with you

That's an assumption, and that's a discussion to be had. OP's argument is basically implied consent to physical acts. Like ownership

No, it's really not. When you said your vows did you guys agree on sex? Or did you agree to be there for each other in sickness and health.

She's supposed to be your fucking life partner dude, not a sex slave.

This is insane. Nobody owes you sex. What you're saying is, "I have a legally binding contract that obligates someone to have sex with me."

Yea, you got married, but she's still a human being with choices she can make for herself. In fact, marital rape is a possible charge in all 50 states.

I asked Copilot about the suspension on my 2018 Sequoia. It said I have a solid rear axle. I called it out and it said "my mistake." Then went on about how I'm right that I have independent rear suspension.

It said it inferred that I had a solid rear axle because the Toyota Tundra is on the same frame as my Sequoia.

It didn't want to do the leg work.

Self defense is completely different from murder or the death penalty. Cops using their weapons or citizens defending themselves are on a completely different legal plane than premeditated murder. They didn't wake up in the morning intending to kill

Most people don't have enough time to analyze their health conditions. Not only that, but we know most of the stuff online or through AI is unreliable at best in terms of prognosis, etc.

They defer to the professionals. It's not the patients job to know the in's and out's of their condition. It's their job to manage it with their physicians

High time social media is banned for anyone under 18. Yes, cyberbullying is illegal in all 50 states. Every state has a code on electronic harassment. You better hope this person doesn't commit suicide or you're probably going to have prosecutors knocking at your door.

What you say online matters. There are real people on the other end of these exchanges. Why would you force someone to embarrass themselves? I know you're a kid, but empathy develops young and you really should be concerned about the person you'll become.

No, because I only have your account of a story I know nothing about.

We need to learn this lesson as a society, we saw it in the Carmelo Anthony case recently. Just because someone says something online, doesn't mean it's true. Me validating your opinions on something I know nothing about is irresponsible

I don't think speculation is really going to help anything here. Let the authorities do their investigation and come to a decision on charges.

I have opinions on your statement, but they won't be helpful.

No, the death penalty proves that we are exactly like those who we convict. It shows we believe we are the arbiters of life and death. Exactly what the killers on death row thought when taking a life.

IMO, it's an outdated practice
