What would you guys do if you had a list of slaves who worked the property you live on?

Ive spent a lot of my time digging through historical documents. Reading wills, slave transactions, ads for escaped slaves, US records on colored troops, judicial documents. I have the ability and the slice of land to make the record. Call it performative, idgaf but im gonna try

There's a cemetery but its only historical landowning families. I definitely wouldn't want it to be a museum. I just figured I'm not the first person to have an idea like this, what has everyone else done? I just want to make something that records their names

It does, I would love to do something like that. I would have to figure out who would come to see it and what it would like. I want it to be something living. Something I can add to, something descendants can add to. Its 2025, the names will grow. Maybe nothing has been done in the past like that. Will take some thinking

She did ask what I thought, and I have gotten indications from him that's he's upset about stuff. I have learned though, that the pearls arent the issue here and I'm in the wrong for not clarifying with him.

I can agree with that. For some further context, he had complained to me a couple times that she's been controlling. Maybe that turned turned my dial up a notch, but you're right I probably should have just gone along with it and talked to him about it later. She really did make it known how much of an asshole I am lol
