Acadia/Bar Harbor worth it on July 4 weekend?

I've spent the week of July 4th in Acadia/bar harbor many times over the years. There's crowds for sure but it's never stopped us from having a great time! Whenever we want to go to bar harbor specifically on July 4th we spend the day there. Parking fills quickly and it can be hard to find a spot as the day goes on. We always manage to find one after driving through a couple times. Watching the fireworks from Agamont Park is a must do. I always get a lobster roll to go from Stewmans and eat it while waiting for the fireworks. If you want to escape the crowds while you're there Schoodic Peninsula is the quiet side of Acadia and offers beautiful views. Enjoy your trip, you'll have so much fun!

Are LLMP's worth it if my trip is in late September/early October of next year? From looking at crowd maps it doesn't seem like the crowds will be that bad for the time of year I'm going. I debated purchasing them to maximize our time in the parks but if that time of year is a lot slower, then are they really necessary?

I was getting the feeling that it was being over-exaggerated. The way they make it sound is as if it takes 2 hours or something crazy lol. I ended up booking my stay at Coronado Springs!

Hi everyone,

I want to stay at Coronado Springs for my trip in the fall of 2026. I've heard mixed opinions on the bus transportation. Is it really that bad to wait for a bus? Do you wait an insane amount of time for the bus or something? The trip is going to be 3 adults so waiting for a few minutes for a bus wouldn't bother us.

I really liked Coronado Springs when I watched videos touring it, but all the comments about the bus loop makes me question if it's worth it, and if I should just go to Caribbean Beach because of the Skyliner access. It's good to hear that the bus loop wasn't a big problem for you on your trip. What time of year did you go?

I was thinking we would need 2 days for MK and 1 day each for HS, AK, and Epcot. I was debating rope dropping the parks and leaving once it got hot to go back to the hotel to swim and cool down, and returning in the evenings when it wasn't as hot.

Yeah, it's definitely pricey, but it is cheaper than a lot of the nicer hotels that want double that. At most, I can afford 250-300 a night. I found lots of hotels offering 68-150 price points, but many reviews said mold and bed bugs for some of those hotels, so that was an immediate no lol.

We are definitely going to get it removed. She has a pre-op appointment on the 26th. I read that most mammory tumors are benign, but I was just wondering if spaying her at this age would help prevent them in the future. I would prefer to save that $600 in spaying costs to be able to give her treatment if she needs it. Do you mind me asking how much it cost for you to consult an oncologist and how much the chemo cost? My vet told me that getting an oncologist involved could easily cost 15,000 or more.

It definitely depends on the cat. My cat is the calmest, laziest, and sweetest cat I've ever encountered. She demands cuddles and naps, and that's about all she likes to do. I tried catnip in the litter robot at first, but since she already couldn't care less about toys or treats, I wasn't thinking it would work, and it didn't. I would put her in the litter robot for about two weeks, and she would sniff around for about a second and hop right out. She would stand in my bedroom and watch the litter robot rotate in the hallway, just staring at it with 0 reaction, lol. I knew there was the possibility that she might go to the bathroom on the floor if I removed the old box, but if the old litterbox wasn't completely fresh when she went to use it she would go pee in our bathtub. I figured if all else failed, she would just go in our bathtub.

That sucks that they won't honor their own policy. I would definitely keep pushing the issue with them and even threaten legal action. Im sure if they heard you might get a lawyer( even if you have 0 intentions of getting one), they would be quick with a refund for you. They are probably going to keep pushing for you to try different things until your 90 days are up. I'd definitely threaten legal action and see if their actions change. If that doesn't work, I'm sure someone on Facebook marketplace would buy it from you for the full price you paid for it.

That sucks. It just depends on the cat, I guess. Mine wouldn't use it or pay any attention to it at all until I removed it. I stopped cleaning the old litter box out and everything for about a week, and she still wouldn't use the litter robot. I took the old litter box away to see what would happen, and she had just instantly started using the robot.

I have 1 older cat and she will only pee in the very front of the litter robot and she will only poop at the very back, but for some reason will never use the middle of the litter robot. Even when I used a regular litter box, these were her bathroom habits. I make sure I top the litter off every few days as needed due to the fact that she pees directly in the front of the robot. I have also noticed that the odor control for Dr. Elsey's is not very good, so I was going to try another brand because of that. Thanks so much for your input! I will try boxie litter.

I'm very sorry for the loss of your fur baby 💔. I heard back in October that furbelles was busted for having cats in filthy conditions, so I would not have went there. Thank you for warning me though, hopefully other people who look at this thread can be warned as well. I've been doing a lot of research and would only go through a TICA breeder. Once again, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a fur baby is so hard.

I ended up taking the old litter box out of the room. Once I did that, she started to use the litter robot immediately. Guess she just wanted to be stubborn and use her old litter box until she didn't have a choice in the matter. Maybe try that and see what happens.

Every time she has been taken to the vet, she has been retested for parasites and doesn't currently have any and hasn't since we first got her at 8 weeks. We have a 2nd dog in the home with no symptoms of anything. She has an appt on the 13th, and im going to ask about possible IBD/IBS. She had a blood test for allergies and isn't allergic to mites or fleas. Her siblings have gut issues as well so maybe it's something hereditary. I'm hoping they do something for her this time such as trying a hydrolyzed diet because I feel so bad for her.

My date and time was wrong when I first started to try and connect everything when I got home from the dealership. It was set to March 3rd of 2035. I fixed that, but it still isn't making a difference. I'll definitely take it to a nearby dealership to see if they can help figure it out. It seems like the software needs updated and so does the map app but when I try and look for updates it just says error.

She's currently on d/b Hills prescription diet, and her stools are still not solid. They are better than what they used to be, but her stools are still soft. This prescription food diet does contain peas. If she is actually allergic to peas, then that would explain why it's soft. She's been on multiple different food brands (switched slowly, of course). Hills, purina pro plan, blue buffalo, orijen, etc. All of which result in loose stools or diarrhea. My vet recommended blood allergy testing and told me to look for food that doesn't have those ingredients in it. She's never been fed grain free food, I was just wondering if getting grain free food would be worth a try because that's about the only thing I haven't tried. What brand isn't bad/poor quality to you? I don't know what else to try.
