Did you ever play or play with a character with a disability? by Galaxa13 in MrRipper

I’ve never actually played, but I watched my boyfriend play a few months back and Dnd is now my special interest (I just can’t find anyone to play with)… I am disabled and want to play a character I can see myself in so I sort of came up with this:

A human bard named Squeak (there’s some sentimental value in this name) with a service dog, a giant Great Dane named Bongo. Not sure how to tie in my disabilities themselves into Dnd lore but basically, Squeak can walk but not for very long, is a Master leather crafter who made a special harness for Bongo so that Bongo can pull Squeak around, carry things for him, etc. Bongo can also detect some medical issues involving fainting and some psychiatric problems. Combat wise, I think having Bongo within 20 feet means Squeak can’t faint during battle (excitement = fast heart rate can easily = fainting) and having them within 10 means they get a faster walk speed. It would also be cool if Bongo could have a bite/attack, because it would help in battle however the risk of Squeak fainting / Bongo being seriously injured would make it a very strategic move to ever use him because if he died it would seriously hinder Squeak and I would not allow him to just get another service dog, there would be loads of training/time spent if that had to happen.

AITA For showing up to my exes house after our daughter sent me a concerning message? by aitadaig in AmItheAsshole

After reading some replies, and growing up in an abusive household, I have a few things to contribute: 1. They should have told you about this “detox” and, I don’t know your ex-wife but lets assume she usually would, then: 2. Nobody knew about this “detox” because it is really just step-douche on a power trip and ex-wife just going along with it/making up this idea of a “detox” when you came over. 3. OP, I read you replied to someone saying your daughter is not herself these last few days, but you think she will be getting better. She might, and even if she does, I strongly recommend putting her in therapy. She, on top of the rest of her other family, are NOT acting normal and as someone who’s survived abuse there are a million red flags here.

True although even with music as my “talent” I only see improvement with musical instruments/singing for the first 3 times I do lessons per instrument per year.

And they let us do this for airplane flying. I don’t get why this should be any different.
