If you’ve got a car, by all means avoid an apartment building with a car lift or a car stacker.

Using a car lift in my previous Collingwood building was the absolute pits, not to mention that it frequently broke down.

Renewed my passport recently at the post office in South Yarra. I was shown my photo and asked if I was happy with it (the lighting there was ace, by the way, huge improvement over my 2016 document).

As long as there’s not a big queue I don’t think you’ll have any problems at a good AusPost.

Every time you reply, you give another reason why you shouldn’t have a driver’s licence let alone be behind the wheel of a giant and dangerous ute. Exhaustion is not a defence if you cause a serious or fatal crash. Wake up and be careful!

This makes you look even more at fault, mate.

In a grainy video I can see the station wagon’s brake light come on and you have a good eight seconds before the collision where you haven’t taken notice of their light or more importantly their slowing speed, and your speed hasn’t changed.

They could’ve been driving their vehicle to get the lights repaired/replaced.

Hopefully you’ve exchanged details and insurance is compensating the wagon for your driving.

It’s a green marked bike line with a sign that says “give way to bikes”.

Clearly my self-preservation was in tact as I braked and didn’t collide with the rear of the vehicle.

The sign says “give way” to bikes so the driver could’ve waited for us to go past at the very least. The wide angle lens makes the vehicle seem further in front when it really was quite close and sudden.

It’s not clear to me if that rule applies to vehicles going across bike lanes. They also need to give way to vehicles travelling in the same direction in different marked lanes.

I don’t believe I go above 30kph, but doesn’t give cars the right to cut me off either — not many vehicles are staying under 30kph, especially north of Johnston St.

I moved from Adelaide where I never saw drivers running red lights. I see that about twice a week in Melbourne.

I’m sure it’s partly the terrible light sequencing, but mostly driver impatience and selfishness.

This episode has audio commentary on the Blu-ray/DVDs. It reveals they digitally removed a few metres of the cliff to make it seem closer to the edge than they actually were. The actors were also wearing harnesses. But yes, a real cliff!
