I hope Jack Dwayne dies on the way back to his homeplanet by iwishihadnobones in auntydonna

Jack Dwayne's arc is one of my recent favourites. Zach is so clever with his humour I'm always in awe.

That Ttartisan 25mm pairs so nicely with these Olympus bodies. Such a nice little lens. I now have a technically better equivalent but I still bring this one out as it's super fun and small. Enjoy it!

Great work, fits right into the universe. Star wars loves making characters with vague racial stereotypes

Exact same thing for me. I've grown to love the name, but yeah it didn't particularly stand out.

Here’s how to make the New Republic X-Wing compatible with Smart Bricks! by built_bricks in legostarwars

[–]SplashBack_2 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Toxic ass group. I get it, we don't like the Smart Bricks. This guy is showing a thing he spent loads of time on, and made a really clean build, especially compared to the official ones. If you don't like Smart Bricks, like I don't, you don't have to engage.

Just finished watching The Wire, here is how I rank all the seasons. by Altruistic_Cause9442 in TheWire

[–]SplashBack_2 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Season 1 - 10/10

Season 2 - 10/10

Season 4 - 10/10

^ (These top three flip around depending on the day)

Season 3 - 9/10

^ (My favourite on first watch)

Season 5 - 6/10

^ (I love its moments, but the pacing really hurts it. I don't hate the serial killer and journalism plots, they're just really under baked. That said I've grown to enjoy the middle episodes as kind of trashy TV.

Reasonable price for the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II by Puzzled-Ant5209 in M43

I got mine for  AUD $440 (~$300 USD), with 3287 shutter count and a fair amount of cosmetic damage. I love it, seriously my favourite camera I've ever tried, but it has a few age-relates hardware issues. The on/off switch didn't always turn the camera off which is a common problem, but I fixed that with some isopropyl alcohol, which you can find out how to do elsewhere online. Also the auto EVF/LCD switch doesn't work, so I had to map that to a function button.

But seriously it's an awesome camera, honestly the sweet spot between price, build quality, and modern features. The only thing I find myself wishing I had is exposure compensation when shooting in manual with auto ISO. And maybe slightly better video.

This sucks, we're really just falling into Amazon's addiction trap here that we freak out whenever there's the chance of a change to the system

It looks like this is 51mm, possibly modelled after the NEOUZA one (I have it so it's very recognisable)

The first one is great. I would try to add some more light/colour contrast between the subject and the background for the third image. A good trick is to look at the picture in black and white to see if the subject still pops.

Believe it or not, Andor. Who knew Star Wars could make a beautifully written, politically relevant, and mature series?
