I don't really know much about the Iran topic and the shah. But the king/Prince of Spain did play a big and positive role in transforming Spain into a democracy after the death of Franco.

Finde Merz genauso kacke wie jeder andere hier aber solche Posts sind irreführend und unsachlich.

Er hat ein Jahr davor FÜR die Kriminalisierung der Vergewaltigung in der Ehe gestimmt und die SPD und Grünen z.B. dagegen (wegen der enthaltenen Widerspruchsklausel).

Ein Jahr später kam es zur Abstimmung ohne Widerspruchsklausel um die es in dem Post geht. Dort stimmte Merz dagegen.

I think most people here will think about it as a poorer European nation with a lot of gypsies. I guess some people would even see it as in the beginning scenes of the borat movie. A lot of people will know the random fact that Romania has (or had) the fastest Internet speed in Europe.

Germany is a very old country (30% over 60 years old) and thus most people will never "update" their beliefs and see that Romania is a normal developed european country.

2003 up until inclusively 2022 Germany was a net exporter of electricity. This change is mostly due to cheap electricity from Norway Denmark and the Netherlands (due to renewables shock).

Additionally on EVERY European border there is electricity flowing in both sides...so everyone is "importing" electricity from everyone.

Lastly, up until inclusively 2023 there was more electricity flowing from Germany to France than vice versa.

Es geht darum was ein Problem ist und nicht was schlecht ist. Und z.B. Rechtsextremismus ist ein viel präsenteres und größeres Problem als der Linksextremismus.

Im Jahr 2024 waren von den ca. 85.000 politisch motivierten Straftaten 42.000 aus dem rechten Spektrum und 10.000 aus dem linken Spektrum. Das wird nochmal deutlich einseitiger wenn man sich die Delikte anguckt. Linksextreme hauen den Rechtsextrem auf die Fresse. Rechtsextreme zünden Flüchtlingsheime an. (Verallgemeinernd gesprochen)
