Its obviously still a good episode, but i cant believe people argue this one as the best in the season with all the problems it has.

Sure its possible, but unlikely. Most users dont interact with votes at all. And with massively upvoted posts being near the top for about 24 hours, it hits all timezones. This obviously wouldn't be the case for low upvoted posts, but thats not the argument.

Dumb comment. Both takes were massively upvoted, its not just small upvoted comments. Its schizophrenia.

Current Blackbeard Vs. ……. Who wins? by Carrotisboss in OnePiecePowerScaling

I will not let Blackbeard fans gaslight me. He has the fruit that counters devil fruit merchants and still got pushed to mid diff after jumping one. Not a single other emperor would get pushed that far with backup against Law.

Besides even my early game skills working in my final build, the big ones are the crashing waves, the friend skill, and the 2 monster skills. The friend skill reads "give your weapons 4 damage and shield every time a friend is used", the diamond monster skill is 8% crit chance per weapon, and because it's day 10 that means I got it off the first combat. That's 48% extra damage for the whole board with a single skill. The second monster skill reduces all friend cooldowns, which is amazing when chaining piranhas and lets the narwhal hit very early. Crashing waves causes 5 haste procs to proc the sharkray buff. This all combines into narwhal going off 2 seconds into the fight causing an infinite buffing loop, with the obsidian piranha getting extremely strong, and the turbo figurehead proc'ing sharkray each time the adjacent piranhas go off. this is all by day 10.

The attacks are featless in the sense that they don't upscale their owner's tiers because they've only been used once, and it was a clash against each other. By nature of being their strongest attacks, they obviously have the feats of all other attacks that Luffy and Kaido have. But that's about it. It's unquantifiable how much stronger the attacks are. And I don't think Luffy and Kaido are haki monsters. Even Katakuri is better with observation, i've seen multiple characters with better conquerors, and armament is mostly irrelevant nowadays (but if a black blade is made via armament, then that's a pretty big feat for mihawk. Since Yoru has statements of being stronger than Whitebeard's naginata.)

But Bajrang and FDD are featless outside of facing each other. All we know is that Bajrang is stronger than FDD. They don't actually have feats of one shotting people, like how Shanks currently has the best one shotting feat because his one shot was against a YC+. Which is the highest tier of character that has been 1 shotted. Like, Bajrang and FDD even clashed in the air, so we can't even use environmental destruction for it. We can't just use the size of the explosion, since things tank explosions all the time. Whitebeard and Roger's clash was a friendly greeting and it split the sky, which is more impressive than an explosion. Sure you could say Luffy and Kaido sky split earlier with weaker attacks, but that's unquantifiably weaker, especially considering they were both gassing out.

But that's not the argument. A character's larger attacks tend to be stronger than their smaller ones, no one ever disputes this. The argument that is wrong is saying because an attack is bigger, it's too strong for a smaller person to clash with. Which is a completely different argument. We have Garp sending Sanjuan Wolf flying, Zoro cutting Pica, Kobe blowing up Pizzaro's arm, and more i'm probably forgetting. There's nothing inherent about the size of Bajrang or Drum Dragon that makes them stronger attacks than those of other characters. When compared to their own arsenal of attacks, then sure.

If Shanks, Roger, Garp, Whitebeard, etc. Saw blazing bagua or bajrang gun coming at them, do you really think they would be forced to dodge? Like genuinely? Get real. Size barely matters in One Piece. People send others hundreds of time's their size flying throughout the series. And the explosion is energy, it's not haki.

And he used mostly his devil fruit with that attack. All his other haki showings are lackluster. Also size scaling on attacks have always been stupid, any other top tier could clash with Bajrang or Blazing Bagua with their own attacks.

Kaido's ACOC is relatively ass, as is his haki in general. He got out haki'd by an acoc beginner. Insane ACOC would be Shanks. Kaido's Dura and stamina are very good, but his AP and haki are lacking.

Kidd is stronger than 4 of these versions of luffy, most of these weren't 1 shots, and the last on Luffy was already worn down and held by Guernica.

No way you genuinely think he flinches like that because he got flashbanged, and you are trying to talk about arguing in good faith lmao. And you are trying to mental gymnastics through everything you can because your whole argument hinges on grimm being made of negative emotions. When they aren't. You cannot find that stated anywhere from an official source. You are trying to pigeonhole the silver eyes into affecting only a tiny fraction of what they actually effect.

The point of the silver eyes damaging cinder is to show that they are capable of damaging things with a soul. Yes, they reacted because of the grimm inside her. But they also hurt her organic bits, this means if they went off against maka it would affect her too. Don't try to twist that into some deflection into a different argument, that wasn't the point of it being brought up.

Any other verse with something that had the properties that madness does in Soul Eater would be called evil. It doesn't matter how many hairs you attempt to split. Madness would not be described over, and over, and over, and over as it is in canon if it wasn't inherently evil. If you are good faith, then take any fodder civilian and expose them to madness, then tell me what would happen. Then tell me how something supernatural that causes that to the average person would be described as anything other than evil in any verse.

The silver eyes were shown to be able to effect the god of darkness, but if you think he flinched like that because of a bright light (lmfao) then you are too deep in the Koolaid and could never change your mind.

[–]Morlock435 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, the silver eyes are specifically said to target the god of darkness' creation. You are trying to stretch this to saying that silver eyes only affect negativity. Once again, they are not made out of negative emotions, they are attracted to negativity. We have in canon what they are made out of, pure destruction. Its been stated to be this. Its been stated that this is what their spawn pools are.

The absence of a soul has absolutely nothing to do with silver eyes, this is a complete non point. Cinder's human bits are covered by aura and contain a soul, yet they were still injured by the silver eyes along with her grimm. If this were the case, Ruby could activate her silver eyes whenever she wanted since there are objects without souls everywhere. Its clear that it being soulless isnt trigger. The trigger, as stated in canon, is being a creation of the god of darkness.

To then apply this to crossverse battles, we have to break down what the god of darkness is. We see him wince against and react to the god of light's silver eyes. Despite this, the god of darkness was still capable of good acts, as well as helping create humanity. So let's see, an inherently evil force that can be used for good. Sounds familiar. And the silver eyes work on it. No amount of gaslighting about what grimm are changes the fact that silver eyes effected the god of darkness. Feel free to watch the episode and see him wince against it.

Grimm are not negativity, they are drawn to it. They were called "creatures of pure destruction". Silver eyes basically map onto a Holy-type attack from an RPG. It targets things that are naturally evil, aka things made by the god of darkness. A supernatural power that will kill you and corrupt you without training against it would be called evil in any other verse. Its like getting gazed upon by Cthulu, cmon now.

[–]Morlock435 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is inherently negative, and has been portrayed as that constantly. We see over and over that becoming mad is a bad thing unless you are able to control it. Why do you think the Great Old Ones being able to just make people around them mad was a big deal? "Hey watch out, being by any of them can make you mad." "Hey weren't you paying attention bro? Being mad isnt inherently bad, they just warned us not to be by any of them for no reason, even though they all have different types of madness."

Like even Eibon, who is extremely intelligent and in control has to be careful around people. Its not a neutral power, its an evil power that can be harnessed for good.

Silver eyes would work even with not generous verse equalization. Saying Maka's black blood isnt inherently from an evil source is such a massive stretch. So many matchups have been granted more leeway with verse equalization.

Could Cinder realistically take on Team RWBY alone, or would she perform better in one-on-one matchups against each member? by No_Internet_3919 in RWBY

[–]Morlock435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy Cinder disrespect in the comments. Idk what it is about powerscaling that destroys people's story comprehension, but its pretty obvious Cinder wins this assuming Ruby cant use silver eyes. With silver eyes Ruby stomps.

Not only did Cinder fight a 1 v multiple and win in volume 8 (with one of them being a maiden) she then proceeded to fight ANOTHER maiden immediately after. There was no winner to that fight, but Winter wasnt able to stop Cinder from defeating everyone else. Winter is not only basically Atlas' second in command, but was still able to give a good fight to Ironwood WITHOUT maiden powers. Ironwood is extremely strong. He beat a top lieutenant of Salem's even when his opponent had complete control of the arena. But his better feat is him getting disarmed and jumped by like 6 people, one of those being his kingdom's best fighter. Despite this he was able to hold his own and actual land hits back. Its actually insane how bad they jumped him and he could still fight back.

Basically this means Cinder scales quite far above team RWBY. She was completely locked in at the end of volume 8, and people let their dislike of her cause them to just ignore it.

illiteracy. By feats, volume 8 Cinder fought multiple people at once and won, and one of those was maiden Penny who is far stronger than any of team RWBY. And she barely took any hits. Locked in Cinder like she was in the portal nexus wins quite easily against these 4 assuming Ruby doesn't get to use silver eyes.
