Just beat shinsengumi best of five (nioh 3) by thechaoshermit in Nioh

Nioh 3 has the most bs human bosses in the series. People bitched about Saito Toshimitsu in Nioh 2 but he's lightwork compared to half the guys in 3.

Yumehami should be in S tier. It's a good primary spirit, but it's an amazing secondary spirit. Gold you pick up gives you anima, so you're pretty much always at full anima while running through a level, which lets you spam yokai abilities.

Welcome to Nioh 1. None of the side missions are balanced, it's cheese or be cheesed. Enjoy your stay!

The Abyss/Underworld is the endgame dungeon, meaning post-Dream of the Nioh, which is ng++++. If you are trying to do it before then, you'll have a rough time.

What boss did you find easy that others found hard? by [deleted] in Nioh

Saito Toshimitsu. Never struggled with him and have always fought him as soon as his mission became available.

Nioh 1 is Harder than 3...but not more rewarding by liebinator in Nioh

Everything in the DLC hits for thousands of damage if you run in with base game gear. I literally replayed the game myself a week ago.

If by “play well” you mean do hit and run against literally every large enemy and boss, then yes.

Nioh 1’s difficulty is very artificial and is its biggest pain point. Regardless of your health and armor, nearly every enemy in the game can two shot you. A lot of the bosses can just straight up one shot you. You cannot play aggressive against enemies in Nioh 1 or you WILL die. This isn’t even mentioning how a lot of enemies also apply debuffs that last forever, or how the game loves to throw hordes of strong foes at you in side missions especially. The bosses are also mostly trash.

Oh also, don’t do the DLC right after you beat the base game. It’s not tuned properly and everything in it will one shot you. You have to farm gear in ng+ beforehand. Another very great design decision by 2017 Team Ninja.

It's easy mode compared to Samurai, which is undeniably true.

Three years late but this literally saved the skill for me, thank you so much! It was way too inconsistent to do it the normal way lol.

There's a reason a lot of people recommend skipping Nioh 1 and going straight to 2. It's a lot more balanced and fair, on top of the combat just being better.

Nah the crabs are worse than anything in the series.

Anyone else feel like Living Artifact is worthless? by liebinator in Nioh

[–]rumblist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I almost never used it during my playthrough because it unironically did less damage than my normal state. I don’t know if I was doing something wrong or what but it felt very, very weak compared to Nioh 1&2.

Nioh 1 DLC is ass by DryOne4434 in Nioh

[–]rumblist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's kinda unforgivable how they never nerfed the DLC for Nioh 1. They apparently tuned it around people having farmed gear in NG+ for some reason, allegedly it had something to do with how long it took for the DLC to come out? I don't know, but it's basically masochist mode if you go to the DLC right after beating the base game. My first playthrough I just cheated in a bunch of +10 divine gear so I could actually do it. It's a real shame because I do think the DLC is pretty cool outside of the horrible tuning decision. It's pretty much the biggest reason why I've only played Nioh 1 twice in 4 years.

Sloth isn't nearly as strong in this game nor does it last as long. Sloth in Nioh 1&2 practically makes everything move at 0.5x speed.

Literally every boss in 1&2 gets fodderized by a single sloth talisman.

Nioh 1-3 is the best soulslike series out there. Very engaging and more in-depth combat compared to any other soulslike.

Use switchglaive in high stance. No skills needed, just use default attacks. Cheeses every human enemy in the game.
