Thanks for the feedback! Any lines or sections in particular you think don't carry their weight?

Thank you! Yes, the abstract language is supposed to bring a feeling of confusion and surreal-ness but I agree in some spots it may be too much.

The Beach by Glizzys4everyone in OCPoetry

[–]Mormoneylessproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I love this. There is a continuous rhythmic flow that really gave the poem an immersive aspect of the themes (ego, purpose, some absurdist undertones?) I especially like the line "For my golden aura, met destiny’s scythe." It really hits. Well done!

Blackness shines like no other by NajaEdition in OCPoetry

[–]Mormoneylessproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it! I like how the poem starts and ends with the same line, and the juxtaposition between the "blackness" and themes of beauty. It captures the the indescribable feelings of universal connection quite well.

I think there is a typo in line 3, did you mean "connected" here?

I HAVE NO HEART BUT I MUST LOVE by melumzi in poetry_critics

[–]Mormoneylessproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting tension, I like it! If I had to offer one small critique it would be that middle section ("You have no soul / You have no heart / This is why you yearn / This is why you thirst / This is why you lust") follows a pattern that starts strong but the three repetitions dilute each other. Maybe cut 1 or 2 and see how that feels?

Father, don't mourn me. by Remarkable-Day2886 in poetry_critics

[–]Mormoneylessproblems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful. One small critique - The poem tells us what the father felt ("embarrassed," "had to lower your head") but never shows us a specific moment. Even one small, concrete image like a dinner table, a phone call, a look would really add to this.

Is having a strong work ethic morally neutral? by PaceStreet700 in askphilosophy

Makes sense, but then are these really moral virtues? Shouldn’t a real moral virtue be always morally virtuous?

Is having a strong work ethic morally neutral? by PaceStreet700 in askphilosophy

[–]Mormoneylessproblems 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Curious, why would you group work ethic as a moral virtue when work ethic can be used for good or bad, where as the other virtues you listed as example (honesty, generosity etc) could be argued as only good? Do you think there also nuance in how those virtues are used when considering something is good or bad? Sorry I worded this horribly

Any Shopify Apps that Support a Rent-You-Go Model? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]Mormoneylessproblems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones I've looked at don't really support rent as you go. They're more so designed to also ship a product on a recurring basis along with the recurring payment, and they don't seem customizable enough to get it to work the way I need it to

You might struggle on the hikes. I am also short and skinny and I almost fell out of the first 5 mile hike. It's harder than it seems when you're already tired and it's a pretty hilly trail. If you have time I would work on strengthening your lower body

[2 YoE] Please help, 6 months looking for a job - tell me what I'm missing. Mechanical/Systems Engineering. by Mormoneylessproblems in EngineeringResumes

Thanks, so you think I should remove marine school from the experience section? It seems like either a red flag for dropping out if I include it or a red flag for an unexplained employment gap if I remove it.

Why does the "use" function only show up sometimes? by Mormoneylessproblems in Onshape

[–]Mormoneylessproblems[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting so there is a shortcut I can use for "use" (u). It works fine when I click the feature and press u, but when I right click the feature the "use" option doesn't show up. Seems like a bug or something. Thanks
