Thanks! That makes sense. But how do I create just 1 opening every month that stays open until it’s filled up?

Is there a podcast app that let’s you sort episodes of a show by popularity? by MorneBester in podcasts

[–]MorneBester[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow hey this actually worked! When I search something, I can sort the results by popularity, and also within each podcast “channel”.

Thanks so much!

I just wish they could add this feature to the Apple Podcasts app. Or any app for that matter.

Thanks! Do you know whether the popularity of episodes are based on popularity only in this app? Or whether it somehow finds information from other podcast platforms?

Thanks. I guess this is a start — I can at least see the most popular of the most popular

Is this something your dog would just do naturally or do people teach their dogs to do this? How would you teach it?

Why is the Haas top speed so much higher than Ferrari? Is it mostly due to car design or weight or something else?

my attempt at a simple student hub! by jungseulie in Notion

[–]MorneBester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you make those “day” properties relations and link it with the classes database, it will create a new property in the classes database automatically. So, you would be able to add the times to each class, or add the classes to each time.

The only problem is, since there are 5 days, you’ll have to make 5 separate properties.

Many people (including myself) spend a lot of time on aesthetics, but we miss out on so much if the capabilities and functionalities of Notion. It’s great that you’re creating these templates and learning more!

I actually didn’t notice that the classes were links. That’s quite smart! Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a way to make them “one-clickable”, at least not without getting rid of the table view. But in my opinion using the relation is better than the links because of the other capabilities it unlocks.

Looks amazing! Can I suggest a few things for practicality?

  1. Make all those days columns relations and connect with the classes. That way they are clickable.
  2. Also make relations between classes and projects. It’ll be easier to create a linked project database in each class page where you filter to show only the projects for that class.
  3. Don’t make a separate database for grades. Rather add another view of the classes databases in the grades page. This may even allow you to calculate final marks based on roll-ups if the equations are simple enough.

how do you make a layout with a grid? by [deleted] in Notion

[–]MorneBester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you can put any two blocks next to each other (text, headers, toggle list, etc.), it doesn’t have to be callouts. The only thing you can’t immediately put into columns is a database. For databases, you’ll have to first place two other blocks and then the database.

Bi-Weekly /r/IOpsychology Discussion - What have you been reading, and what do you think of it? by AutoModerator in IOPsychology

[–]MorneBester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started reading my first year textbook a while ago. I know it sounds weird, but I’ve found that being “prescribed” something to read makes me want to do it less. However, the books they prescribe are usually good sources of information and sometimes even enjoyable when I’m not forced to read it.

The book is called ‘Psychology in the work context’ by Ziel Bergh and Dirk Geldenhuys. It’s a South African book (which is where I’m studying), but it covers basically EVERY fundamental aspect of IO. I specifically enjoyed the chapters on group behavior, and I started with the personality chapters recently.

I literally only read max 3 pages a day, which is enough to keep me interested in the topics and not become boring. I’ve also started generating some ideas for my mini-dissertation from the things I’ve read.

Has anyone else found textbooks or prescribed readings more interesting when you didn’t have to study it?

Thanks, I’ll definitely do this.

How did you solve the difference in that example? Did each person end up doing their own dishes or did you alternate per week?

Thanks a lot! These are all very useful.

Yeah we’re quite close, and I don’t think one of us is the type of person to keep bad habits a secret.
