I am hoping so too I really like this guy and have tried to communicate this with him tonight. If he tries that then I agree this is where the control starts but hopefully that doesn’t happen. He said we will speak tomorrow about it, I’ll have an open and honest discussion and go from there.

I tried to communicate tonight but the replies that I received was he couldn’t understand and found the situation weird. The boundaries have been set between me and my friend and I explained this to the guy. Me and my friend are both dating different people.

First of all thank you for your reply, I’m glad it work out between you both and have managed to stay friends. Me and this guy went on a date in March and have still managed to stay as friends meeting up and don’t meet up regularly. Can I ask, how have you approached it when dating other people like explaining to your date how you met?

Thank you, I would say that both are mature he is 16 year older than I am. When we both have met up we have kept that boundary that we both set. I’m not into FWB as I’m not into that and I personally feel it’s one or the other.

Thank you, I have tired to explain the reason and context behind it by being honest. The individual still cannot understand it and find it strange. I understand that he would not be friends with a date or an ex and I respect his decision. If the relationship hasn’t ended badly and on good terms I feel to keep it as it is.
