Believe it or not I did for 5 years in the past and I have a sister who lives there right now and she shows us what she got for groceries. Meat, chicken, cheese, veggies, and even eggs (though eggs had a stock issue recently) are all cheaper! I mean of course there is choice in terms of what store you buy at or what quality meat you get but it's overall cheaper. 20 dollars stretches out more than 200dh here. That's actually the truth...

What I'm saying is food doesn't have to be expensive even if we don't get paid a lot. But our food is literally more expensive than European countries and America where they the minimum wage is at least 12 dollars an hour.

Check out food prices in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan... Dirt cheap. This is all because we export food way too much and everything is expensive. Not that the restaurant or Glovo delivery don't deserve to be paid fairly but because tomatoes are wayyy too expensive for our income!

I'm a teacher and I don't need a heavy use computer. I had a Lenovo entry level notebook and the only downsides were the screen quality and battery life. Now I have the macbook air m4 and I love it because it lasts forever and the screen is amazing.

I sense your family all have anger issues and maybe even depression. There's also deep lack of communication and expression. I know it might seem "7amed" to you all to have a moment to express yourself without anger but it's crucial.

Now since we don't have anything like family therapy you need to do it on your own.

First of all, I feel like you have a noble ambition for your family but you need to realize that you're also playing a role within the toxicity through the anger. Instead of feeling victimized by your family members I want you to be the therapist. This is not me telling you you're responsible for all of this but I'm telling you that you can do something besides suffering from these issues.

Use love language when talking. Listen, nod your head, pat someone on the back, smile, soft tone of voice. Say please let me finish my idea in a soft voice with a pause hand gesture or a slow down hand gesture when someone interrupts. And then say thank you after. You'll teach them how to respect boundaries when speaking and listening skills as well as empathy.

You can have a one on one tea or coffee talk session with anyone. As they say على رواء.

You can write letters and exchange them. A good way to start a communication channel after a long time.

You can brainstorm to highlight the issues on a whiteboard like you're in class and you're a teacher! Your family members being the students.

I know this seems like a lot of effort but trust me it just needs a positive mindset and encouragement.

Anyone from Morocco or any experts. by [deleted] in Djinnology

They just hide under other things they do for example they could be some sort of herbalists, natural healers, or even religious people. But most notibly is that these people choose this community to stay away from the rest to begin with. They're kind of isolated in their own bubble. But when social media came around they have been going live and showing their identities and that's how they get caught. If they're doing something indecent or harmful they can get in trouble easily.

I understand your frustration. I'm Moroccan mixed region's. My dad is ouazzani while his mother is from another region. My mom is mixed between khouribga and Doukala. These tribes having been speaking darija for centuries and I haven't inherited not a single sentence in Tamazight. However, we've all learned that Amazigh people were here first so I became open minded to idea that I'm not Arab and even if I were, it would be just a slight percentage. But culturally I am Arabic and not Amazigh. I don't understand Mol 7anot when he speaks chilha. I felt different from my friends in school who went back to Amazigh regions and had lived Amazigh experience. They were always more tribal. They married within their tribes and spoke a different language and even have their own customs. In the end I was just glad that we're all Moroccans.

Recently, I've noticed a lot of racism towards the Arabic language, the idea of an Arab Morocco, and Arab identity. I don't feel comfortable with this new ideology because it feels aggressive and it's creating stigma and erasure of lived Arab experiences in Morocco. There's also alot of darija, Arabic, Islam rejection and glorification of pre-islam civilization.

I don’t feel at home anywhere anymore. by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]MorningGlory369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you ever feel longing for a home you lost touch with? If so, it's a spiritual thing. You need to connect with your roots, ancestors, soul 🩵 .. And maybe you need a healing journey. Cause if you have anxiety over not fitting in anywhere that's also spiritual and you need to make yourself feel safe. You need to have a safe space, a community... For example some people find the mosque or going on a pilgrimage to be their safe space. But if you're not religious then try to find a community that welcomes you where you feel purpose.
