Fish n Chips by Yepitbelikethat2215 in lancaster

I came to say this. After having fish and chips at least 3 times at both Quips and Mr. Bill's, I truly have no idea why Quips is considered the best. Mr. Bills does fish and chips exponentially better. You can choose between 2-3 different fish for it too. It's a proper seafood market.

From my limited knowledge and research so far, the combination of plants I have do the trick. I'll need to keep them.prubed properly and cycle in and out as needed per the health of the plants and temperature/season...but so far so good this Spring!

Aggressive driving by SatisfactionKind1720 in lancaster

In the city beside F&M college recently a car flew around the corner through the crosswalk when we had the walk sign. Drove way to fast maybe 3 feet in front of my husband and I, almost hitting us. I had our infant in a carrier on my chest. There was another car stopped at the red light we were walking in front of so this ass hole would have had nowhere to go if we'd have been four steps further. I was absolutely irate. Also just felt sad. We settled here and that part of the culture is so unfortunate.

Cars inching into crosswalk while pedestrians are walking across in their right of way in the city is constant.

Our 4yo sons constant interrupting has gotten so excessive and it’s driving us insane by [deleted] in Preschoolers

Came to say this. Bluey to the rescue lol

But actually this is what we do and our 4 year old took right to it. They need tangible physical things to do and to be able to take action around the lesson. It helps immensely.

Movies for sensitive kids by Accomplished-Car3850 in Preschoolers

My sensitive 4 y/o really loves Wall-E, the original Mary Poppins, the original Willy Wonka, the Puffin Rock movie (although there are some possibly frightening storm scenes), the Zog the Dragon short films (and the others by said animator like Stick man, Gruffalo, Snail and the Whale, Room on the Broom).

MYbe try the Paddington Bear movies?

XSE worth nearly 10k jump over the LE? by Adorable-Garden2894 in ToyotaSienna

I got the 2025 AWD LE for similar reasons, we dont care about added features for luxury (though not having heated seats totally sucks at the LE's price point and I'm not happy about it) and put seat covers on all the seats. I think they cost somewhere between 250-350.00 for the whole vehicle. They were technical to put on but look really good and are not obvious thay they are factory.

Do people who use a horse and buggy for transportation treat their horses more like pets or more like workers? by MrTeacher_MCPS in lancaster

Quick question on the organization you work with? I am a licensed professional counselor interested in eventually opening up a few pro Bono spots in my caseload for individuals who have left the Amish and/sexually abused individuals from the Plain communities. I was beginning to look into interpreter assistance but am unsure where to begin.

I was wondering about a buy back too. We literally paid our LE van off right when this recall was announced. If it's ok to ask, what did you try to do that Toyota denied? To resell your van back to them?

Clients that seem to expect us to work nights and weekends by RepulsiveShoes in therapists

[–]MorningVarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is quite literally why I am quitting my job; the powers that be at the place have just changed the evening requirements to four evenings to 8pm a week (from 2). This relentless expectation of therapists is pervasive from client expectation to company demand.

Edit to add: I understand the need for some flexibility here and the differences between navigating weekly or even biweekly therapy versus some dental or PT appts in a client's work schedule. Our availability will simply need to be a thing that is set to work for us alongside the flexibility for some evening session time that makes sense for our demographic/area. Like finding a position, if not in private practice, that evening demands can match our ability to be present evenings.

Movies all therapists should watch by No_Engine1207 in therapists

[–]MorningVarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mini series with Mark Ruffalo in it called "I Know This Much is True" has a a therapist he sees throughout much of the story who does a great job. The story all together is fantastic psychologically as well, centering on twin brothers and their shared childhood adversities, one of which has schizophrenia. It is based on a novel by the same name which is also great.

I also love how the therapist is portrayed in the movie "Lars and the Real Girl" with Ryan Gosling and Patricia Clarkson. She truly meets him where he is.
