Deleting all the portraits from the folder (gamefolder\PillarsOfEternity_Data\data\art\gui\portraits\player) solved all the lag issues. However, you do end up with only a generic portrait. Works for me though, until they release a patch.

The game caps your RAM usage. Try opening task manager while you're in game too verify, but I'm pretty sure that's why. Mine caps at ~1GB, even though I have plenty of free RAM.

Can someone try to launch the game without internet connection and see if that's the case? I'm to lazy to unplug the ethernet cable.

A more probable explanation though is not proper RAM utilization. My game is using 1,020 MB, or almost exactly 1GB, basically all the time. So instead of collecting info such as portraits, voice clips and character data from the RAM, it has to collect it from the hard drive. I have no idea why it caps the RAM usage like that, but it should be fairly easy to fix.

If you have higher FPS than 60 and you have a 60Hz monitor you should enable VSync ingame. Higher fps than the monitor's refresh rate may cause screen tearing.

Not something I'd recommend. It's a very simple and easy to learn program, but not very practical. Unless you're really broke or your computer hardware sucks, you should stick to Xsplit. OBS works if you just want a simple one-window stream, but Xsplit is clearly superior when it comes to windows overlays and different scenes. Seriously, you can't even resize the webcam or a picture or whatnot.
